  1. LOL... ..i'm sorry for laughing when I saw this (and I do hope the dog is fine and doesn't have a fractured neck) but it sounds to me like maybe the dog doesn't get out much. If it gets happy over a dear then maybe instead of fixing the windshield. I'd get some duct tape and tape the window with cardboard against the glass and draw a picture of a big dog on the cardboard. Then let the dog be happy all the time. Rowdy, Let the dog be HAPPY, beg, borrow, or steal, another dog. Then your worries are over. Ya may not get the dog back for a week or two. 2. If ya do that, then make a few more for some Tri-Plex users. mike
  3. That is EXTREMELY sweet looking. Don't guess i've ever heard a V8 Mack with straight pipes running before. Life must be good to some. Thanks for sharing! mike
  4. Man, some people get lucky. mike
  5. Ok, I'll be calling you. mike
  6. You can find them on e-bay. If you give a donation to the Mack Museum, you'll get a small manual for your truck, along with other vital material. Well worth the effort, time and money. mike
  7. Hey Bigen, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ya. mike
  8. Hey Thad, Do you have a Ryder Truck rental place near ya? They are more fleet oriented.Just a thought. mike
  9. I bet that was fun to watch. I guess ya can call that a Fog Horn. mike

  11. Hi Bobby,......hope all is well with you. I bet your truck looks much better than before the corruption began. I've been there, done that. My new garage is my Man Cave......ya know what I mean. The g/f saturday night on the phone, wanted to know if I took a shower that day. I will uphold any of my comments on here. Anyways, we are still friends. mike
  12. Further back to where the spring perch is connected. It will be mid ways on your frame ecthed inside. WD 40 is sometimes good for finding these things to spray on. mike
  13. If your engine is an inline 6 cylinder 673 c.i. fuel injected then, the engine numbers are on the front gear cover, passenger side,on top, just under the secondary fuel filter. By the looks of your clean engine, it should be no problem finding it. The first photo is your oil cooler with it's numbers raised or embossed, which most parts are that way. The engine numbers will be etched down inside the housing, same as your frame number and rear carrier housing. Regards mike
  14. What about some PVC pipe, cut to length and same diameter? mike
  15. I can relate to your pain Rowdy.....As of July 9th 2010 I have worked 40 years. In those 40 years I have been payed for 32 hours overtime, when I was driving a truck, from 1985 till 1990. These hours are from the very few weekends when they would ask me to work. The other many hours that I refuse to add up has been for free, or just to keep my job when I took a salary job. I'm on call 24/7 when the building alarm goes off and no extra perks other than a computer on my desk. I like my boss because he can take it and we both can dish it out at each other. Oh by the way.....I get to use my vehicle (no perks) to take the bank deposits and pickup the building mail each day..................If you ask yourself what does Mike do..........I SERVE GOD.....that is what keeps me hanging on or coming back. Hang In There Rowdy mike
  16. Rob, I think you'll be safe with momma as long as the money is still rolling in. mike
  17. Yes Rob I understand. I feel the same way. Nobody needs to hold out information when they are seeking help from people wracking their brains to help. I would suggest a Frame Shop from this point forward. mike
  18. Jeff, I'm by far no expert but, I would measure some places on the truck. On a garage floor or where it is close to being flat, I would measure the frame in front on both sides to see if it has been bent in some time. If it is close to the same measurement then it's possible the body may be sagging on one side than the other. That is my thinking but, again you need Dr. Rob, Dr. Moe, Dr. Larry. Lets hear back from you soon. mike
  19. Looks like it came with 2 young firemen. Fire Dept. sure believes in hiring very young firemen. I hope they don't get Burned out of a job too soon. mike
  20. Tom, Did you eat sumpin bad fur ya?

nah, I went to Houston and came back thru Daingerfield, and apparently it made me sick.

  21. Larry, Lookin Mighty Fine!!!You keep this up and soon you'll have a new truck. mike
  22. I agree, It has a good look to that set-up. I'll probably use that type of mount. I wish that I could remember when the pogo stick was first used on trucks. mike
  23. Hi Larry, My gladhands are now mounted as yours. I was reluctant to scare the paint on the brackets, but I did alittle in order to twist them on the bracket but, not noticable until you dismount the hands. I cannot remember when the pogo stick was first introduced way back when. I want to go with that set-up if it is authentic for the 60's. They were mounted laying on the deck plate wrapped up in a bungee cord fastened to the plate. Didn't care for that method totally. I do like your light set-up for rear trailer hookup etc. Hey I bet I would get clostrophobic in your garage cause most of the 1980's I was doing most of my work in a single garage, 100 sq.ft. I know a guy has to do what he has to do. How's the new rear suspension project going? mike
  24. Thanks Tom, I do believe that is what the Doctor has ordered for me. Been waiting for many years for someone to post a B Model doing what it likes to do best and not just sitting looking good. Never thought it would be at night. If ya think about it sometime, get one shifting gears. We guys like to hear a B going through the gears. Again Thanks! mike
  25. Can anyone recall when the pogo stick was introduced for the gladhands with airhoses to hangon to? My B Model has 3 screws on the roof that will either be taken off and sealed or i'll have to fabricate a plate to hang the lines. I would rather have the pogo stick because I dislike having holes in the roof for possible leaks. Would like your feedback. Thanks mike
