    Hey Mike-

Been fighting fires today. Our lower gate collapsed right about the time our new president wanted me to help his crew unload an 18 wheeler of 150 boxes of books and palletize them, about the time I was to go home at 4 p.m. Got to leave at 6:15. And an alarm was going off in the building for our microfish room. By the time the crew finished I was coming out of the building to help. When getting home found the yard needed mowing. Finished that at 8:30 p.m. Went to the g/f's house to use her car to go to the truck show. Now at her house on the computer and ready to go home and get up at 3 a.m. And now I can't believe what i'm seeing in a cowboy hat with shorts on. Something tells me it's going to be a long day tomorrow. Guy's i'll let ya know how it turns out. mike Oh yea, bout forgot....one of our building elevators was stuck on the 4th floor. I go and try to reset it by opening the door with special key and had to climb in. The door closed and I was trapped inside for 25 min. I called the company inside the elevator. Many people were glad I was trapped, so they said. I climbed out when the elevator guy got there, and told everyone present that I had ordered Champain and caviare while waiting for my Prince to get there. What A Day..... I need some rest. I'm getting to old for this %(^#
  2. I just can't help wondering......the guy on the bike likes em awful young don't ya think. mike Tom, Just kidding ya.....
  3. I thought he was going to brag on his professional riding skills. In saying he could ride a bike roman style, like the Gladiators in Rome did with horses. Those boots just need alittle barn yard mud on them and that would cure the scratches. mike
  4. I wonder what year it could be? It does have great lines and looks to have been taken care of by it's owner. Some point in time I would have polished aluminum tanks to go with the front wheels. Have a safe trip home. mike p.s. I'm still about 3/4 on the sauce. Best i've ever had. And i'm stingy with it.
  5. Tom, I should be at Brad Wike's Farm by 10:15 a.m. Saturday.

    Dammit:

This past saturday night was a delight to have those airport runway and taxi lights. Me and the g/f had flown down to a 50's resturant at KMRC and coming back I used the push to talk switch on the controls to brighten the airport area. The radiation fog was everywhere and we were able to see much better when using this item the FAA provided for pilots. mike
  7. Kinda looks like me going home from work in the afternoon. It'll be hard for me to except the new go-carts the big 3 wants us to buy. The cars are getting smaller and smaller. The trucks get bigger and bigger. I guess the families want have to buy coffins cause the new cars will be it. mike

    At Last!

Tom, First......who is Jeff Burton and it musta ben midnite when you took this shot......or he must be from Nigeria? What kicks me is......me and the g/f went flying saturday evening and didn't take a camera and should have done so. Was some beautiful territory to be seen. mike
  9. Rowdy, Before you put the door panel back on I would coat the lock and mechanism with grafite. It will stay with you for a long time and that stuff has been used by the old mechanics years ago. mike
  10. He's in a better place than we are. I still admire him for what he stood for and had guts and decensy about him. mike
  11. Rob,.....how would you like it if you were not compensated? I work for a nonprofit office building and would rather not say who we are cause of only ten years left and probably for real only have 5 years left before I get the axe. mike
  12. I agree and you see what the donkey is about to do to the Constitution. mike
  13. Rob, That is what makes life interesting. To have a job that can call on us any time day or night, vacation or whatever. I'm in the same boat as you. Me and the g/f flew down to a new resturant in a small town in Tennessee. We left KJWN about 22:38Z and they were waiting on us at the airport. Me and the g/f got to drive a new BMW SRV to the resturant. We had a meal to kill for and was treated like royalty. We drove back to the airport and while I was doing my preflight check I get a call from work that an alarm was going off in the microfish room for our Archives dept. I let the hammer down in the Arrow with luck of a tailwind for some luck and air or Density Altitude was 3,000 and using most of 5,000 ft. runway at 87 VY...thats best rate of climb. I remember 159 knots. and get back in less than 30 minutes. We get to the building only to reset the alarm and find nothing else wrong with the system. So you and I know about dedication to the job. Then I take the g/f home and I went to mine an got in bed after midnight only to get a call this morning from the security guard needing me to come down to the building. Someone dropped a set of keys down the elevator shaft and guess who had to go down in the pit to get them. Took about 5 minutes of time and back home I go. Isn't life fun? mike
  14. Girl Friend bought a J/D push mower 5 years ago. Trans is messed up and was sealed from the factory. Now we got to go to my moms to borrow the Craftsman. What a waste of money.

      hatcity

disconnect the trans. and tell her to push harder. Another 5 years

      Rob

I purchased a new 214 garden tractor in 1980 and mowed almost 4000 hours over two engine rebuilds. Purchased a Deere power driven push mower in 1984 that I scrapped two years later because it was poor quality with lacking parts support.

  15. Hatcity, if that don't stir him up alittle then he must be sleeping the trip off by now. Tom and Rob have been ignoring each other this week. I would guess that Rob stopped by Tom's place this morning to check out the paint job on Miss Becky. Or Rob is fertilizing Tom's garden by peeing on it. Hey Mark.....I would not show a photo of that good looking hotdog ya got there cause Rob loves those little weiners to. Haven't you ever heard of The RoadKill Cafe. That is on the menu at Rob's Cafe. Cute Dog makes me want a dog to guard my ole B Model. mike
  16. I agree with ya hatcity. But it leaves me wondering......where do they go from here? Maybe a bigger flood or hellish heat will take care of the matter. Nature does not show any favoritizm. mike
  17. Tom, It's only 10:10 p.m. here and i'm having to go get IceCream with the g/f. It's too early to go to bed now. Bed is for old folks, haven't you always heard that from a kid growing up? I'll let ya know how good the icecream was tomorrow. mike
  18. I think GG2 and I are on the same page. Surely Rob can get home without us taking up a collection for him. Hey Hatcity, think we can get Rob a oneway ticket for Disneyland? mike
  19. Here in Tennessee, we gettin all people from California, Mexico, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Great Britian, Egypt, Afganistan, India and it don't feel like home anymore. Ya hardly ever see someone driving or walking without a phone stuck in the side of their face. We must have a lot of business to take care of so we can make BILLIONS to help BP and ENRON etc. mike
  20. Tom, Are you saving metal cans for Rob, inhopes of him dropping in during his return home? I can tell ya that it's going to take more than that, so hurry up and get ta drinkin. He might be somewhere around the Ashville exit, bout now, off I-40. mike
  21. Was the thought of welding out of the question? That is what I had done to my single steel air tank on my B model recently. The job was done poorly but, the weld will be there after the tank is gone. mike
  22. Finally finished putting together my GARAGE SHOP DESK for my books etc.

  23. I've been seeing this also and wondered how you politely ask someone that is way out there in a galaxy far,far away to excuse himself from this web-site permantly. mike
  24. Yea Randy, i'm remembering working with my dad on his cars and trucks. He saw me not being in a hurry and would tell me i'd never make it on a production line. I'd say to him but i'm not on a production line. He always was in a hurry to get it done. I guess he was afraid he'd miss something on TV like Mission Impossible or Hawaii Five 0. I'm to the point in life if it gets done then thats ok. If it don't, then their will be another day. mike
  25. I think both trucks look great. The B model looks familiar. I may have a photo of it at a ATHS truck show in Cookville, TN last year. mike
