  1. I'd like some em french fried taters with mustard (Sling Blade) I was a thinkin pink brushed on with a nail polish brush borrowed, I hope from the wifie poo. mike
  2. Jay, i'm with Rob on his comment also. I've been wanting to go to a Drive-in Movie Theater with my B-Dog someday. I have taken steps to see if they will accomadate me. I was e-mailed from the management and their reply was good and I just need to call ahead so they can park me in a good spot with the ROADGRADERS and BULLDOZERS. I figure they will park the SKIDSTEERS in front so they can easily see. I've been trying to get the g/f to go but, it has not gone over well with her. She remembers my drive home from an electrical shop, in afternoon traffic on the interstate at maximum speed of 47 mph @ 2100 rpm. THE B seemed TIDED TO A POST, traffic screaming by. Funny thing was all the truckers were giving me a THUMBS UP sign. If I mention it today, all I get is a big laugh and a BIGGER NOOOOOOOO. P.S. IS THERE A COMPATIBLE GIRL FOR ME OUT THERE SOMEWHERE????????????? mike
  3. Trenton, I'll try and explain. A useful source is Bendix.com and they have diagrams to help you decide. Some of us with B-Models are useing the 24/24 cannisters because of clearance and mounting bracket issues. Make sure you measure and take your brake cans with you incase one of the Parts Men has questions. I hope this helps! mike
  4. Thanks for the concern HatCity. It has been an interesting week. I had to clean mud and water out of my basement but was not extensive as many others in Nashville and areas around low areas really got it bad. My g/f teaches school in a nearby county and some of her student family's had major water damage. The g/f went several days to the neighborhoods to help take the ruins to the curb. It is heartbreaking to see families lose everything. Some of them were standing or sitting crying, men and women. The kids don't seem to understand yet, it has not sunk in yet with some. Government help is better than no help but, still life will never be the same for those completely devestated. We had last monday off work because of the flood. You just could not get to work downtown, most roads were gridlocked. My little 17 mile trip usually takes me 32 minutes where it took me 1 hour and 15 min. this past week. My building downtown was on concerve energy mode as well as the water pressure was very little. The chiller has water running through it to help cool the building and I ran hose pipes to the outside cooling towers so the building could get some cooler air.If it can't get cool water then the chiller will not work. The airhandlers can't feed but outside hot air since we were having upper 80's temp. last week. I have taken a few photo's but, might try and post them when I can of the flood. My photo's don't show the real devestation. The Mayor of Nashville wanted everyone to conserve water since 2 of the 3 water treatment plants were contaminated. I posted that I was taking a Bi-Annual Flight Review several weeks ago. I got a real eyeview of the flood last week and took a photo with my cell phone but can't send it since I do not have text messaging. I fly again this thursday to finish my flight review and supposed to fly to Huntsville, Al. so I may get a photo then. Everyone have a DRY day!!! Wear the DEPENDS if ya got em. mike
  5. Art, Sometimes no news is good news. My truck wiper motor under the hood has 3 hoses. 1 in the middle and 1 at each end....unless maybe some under the dash. My wipers work good. Under my dash looks like an oil derrick explosion happened at one time in it's life. Even the air horn valve has had oil all around it also. I'm getting air at the air horn valve but the valve leaks past when pulled and no sound. Not surprised since no one carries a rebuild kit for horns either. mike
  6. We needed him in the Marine Corp. John Rambo would have a hard time with him around. Amaseing though...I wonder with him on staff, how many workers they let go to save a dollar? mike
  7. Just UPS all of us a piece. I've only had a cereal bar this morning and cup of water. Thanks mike
  8. Did not know Rob on his year truck. Man I'm glad I got lucky on that part or piece. I'm having a go around with parts houses, trying to find the correct upper raditor hose. Seems this city has no hose to fit mine thus far. mike mike
  9. Mackie Muladzh welcome to the BMT site. If ever you decide to make your Will out, make the Mack out to me or remember me in your Will. I have 9 more years to go before retirement unless the company decides for me sooner and was going to do the same as you have. mike
  10. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE THE HEADLIGHT PANELS OFF!!! Lmackattack is correct. It takes just alittle time and Patients. Don't forget the 2 big screws at the bottom of the radiator shell. Good Luck mike
  11. I agree.....i've been feeling it also. mike
  12. Glenn, yea the stalls are a challenge but need to be looked at as fun I feel. I guess a person could think of a spiral in the back of their mind as being next after a stall and frighten them from doing the stalls. For a brief time during my flight schooling I had a girl CFI ( Certified Flight Instructor ) for those reading that don't know this term, she was a college student. One day we went up in a 172 Cessna N model and she showed me during a flight into a head wind, cutting back the throttle that we could actually fly backwards. That was some interesting flight. I never dreamed I would have a girl flight instructor and a good lookin one at that. After 9 years later she appears at a safety meeting. Oh well I need to go to bed now. mike

    Missing?

Rob,.....are you dealing with weather radar since you mentioned inversion, convection etc.? mike
  14. LOL....I know it's being serious at the time when put to the test. Flying was serious stuff when I was going through flight school. I could not relax a moment when doing anything. I still remember my white nuckles during my take-offs. Don't remember the landings cause I was soooo focused during this crucial time. And yes the line up on the runway during takeoff on the numbers and the crosswind during takeoff and landing. It is still pretty serious business and I truly believe in checklists and use them religiously to this day. It is a joy to fly after you go thru the BOOT CAMP sort of speak. Sorry Glenn you went the other direction. Many times during my training I wanted to QUIT but took an oath to myself to not do so. With all of the instructors I had, most of them had comments on my great landings. I love to come in on the mains an coast with the nosegear off the ground all the way until it loses air speed and falls. Stalls were scary at first then after doing them for awhile you start testing yourself to how much altitude you cannot lose. Life is All a Gift Let It Be FUN while we can. mike
  15. Good thing you didn't go any farther you may have found you were in the DELIVERANCE territory. Any don't believe you want to be the PIG and do some squilling either. mike

    Missing?

I believe ROB is playing with SCIENCE......remember the song back in the 80's. I believe he used the word PROPOGATION.
  20. Herb is correct....I did not spot it earlier. Got my new glasses a week ago and still not using them hoping to not need them. I have to have them per FAA in the airplane when flying. So I put them on when doing my flight planning and keep them on until needed for changing my altimeter. Just past my FAA Medical this week so BEWARE YAW I'm ready to bore some more holes in the skies this year. mike

    Fuel Filter

Looks like you have a filter unit with a useable color if your painting the engine someday. I'm told by the Mack Museum that the engine color and some components were a blue/gray or very lite blue/green. mike
  23. It looks complete to me. I just bought one of the primary fuel filter units for my truck from Kevin of AllMacks.com about a month ago. I don't see anything missing. The filter is scrapped off when you turn the nut on top clockwise or as the arrow shows on the unit. I'll have to look at my unit now because a faucet valve handle might be a good idea to use to turn the scrapper. I tore mine apart and all this crud was inside the filter. Looked like mud. But NAPA has the numbers for me to use and order a new filter. Also they have the Mack numbers and crossovers mostly Wix Filters are what is used by CarQuest, O'Rielly, NAPA etc. Mine is not fitting the studs on the intake manifold cause, the studs on the manifold are bigger than most units during those years. mike

    " I Want It "

LOL.....Now that was FUNNY....I would have to borrow your's if I had a wife. Maybe that would work better. She would call you from jail for you to bail her out....I like it....anyone else have likeable ideas...lets hear them. The mike is on, your on the air. mike
  25. Congratulations and thanks for taking it home and thanks to those people that had enough respect for the MACK to give it away instead of sending it to the Boneyard. Just take your time to restore it the way you want it and hopefully we can be of some help to you. mike
