  1. Grant, I would have enjoyed seeing it start up and watching the action in the shop while trying to shut it down. Keep up the good work and keep us posted with pictures if ya can move that fast. mike
  2. I'm going out on a limb with this but, Warpman i'm sure you may have thought of this also. I would think the linkage to the 4th and 5th gear is out of adjustment. The other side of me wants to think it might be cause you are living too close to Rob and we all know weird stuff goes on over there. But I hope that's not the case. mike
  3. Everybody......don't forget to tell otherdog a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY. He's probably home celebrating. And Packer also....LOL thought I was going to forget you....didn't you Packer? HUH mike
  4. Hey Grant, That sounds like some of the stuff I get myself into. But I would not tell anyone. It just hurts the pocket book later. I'd send some goodluck over but, i'm fresh out of luck. mike
  5. All this bike talk got me fired up to ride. So yesterday I got out the GoldWing Honda and spent 7 hrs. and a total of 307.8 miles on it just enjoying the sunny day and beautiful hill country we have. I did drop the bike at a RR crossing, I felt lucky cause no cars were behind me to not interferr with me picking up a 1000 lbs. Had to lay it down once cause I did not have a good grip on it. I got back on and picked up my pride, looked out and in front of me was a couple on a Harley asking if I was ok. My reply was I must have got too happy with it and I told them thanks for checking on me and away I ride. In a total of 15 years i've had the bike, I have dropped it 3 times now. I was told when I bought the bike in 1995 I would eventually drop it. Anyway I always have a good time and yes I have many stories. mike
  6. POOOOORR AIR SHOCKS.....that bike will never be the same again......probably sprung the forks and swingarm let alone the sprung wheels. I hope the bike will sell for parts now. Might find a few parts still good shape. The cycle shop will probably sell it for scrap. mike
  7. OOOOOOH NOOOOOOO and I was hoping the streets were getting safer this summer to ride mine. Rob.....where will we need to send the flowers? mike

LOL....I was always told to put mine in the freezer first so it would turn into a popsicle.....and I know everybody likes popsicles. mike
  11. Bedtime stories he likes the best...huh..... mike
  12. I don't know about you but, I can't think when fooling with that. mike
  13. I'll agree with Tom on the PB Blaster but you need to give it some time to soak awhile before you get happy with it. I just started using it recently and am having good results on difficult bolts. I to have been using WD 40 for a long time and the better is PB Blaster. mike

    Name......what name.....remember.....remember what. mike
  15. Yesterday I spent all of my lunch break at the paint store. They can get close to what it was but never exact. So I went back to work with only a formula and not a code number. I do have the paper work when I'm ready for them to mix it. mike
  16. Thought I would eliminate the guessing of the paint code for the END673 engine in my B model. I'm going to lunch and to Auto Color World here in Nashville and let them check the transmission plate that has the light/blue/green that I have to provide. Then i'll come back and post it so anyone else needing it for your restoration project and eliminate the guessing game. mike

Guy's those were good stories and i'm always glad to hear the trucks going to good homes. I got my build sheets from the Mack Museum when it was built and where it was sent. But I ran into a wall with any further info. Neely Coble Mack in Nashville said they threw away the old files when they changed over to a FreightLiner/Volvo Dealer, just my luck. I wish that these truck people in my area would come out of the woodwork and be known. Good Luck with your trucks! mike
  18. DEPENDS....You know Rob....I guess they come in handy most anywhere. I like wearing them at the beach or the pool that way the water stays clear instead of blue from all the pills the urologist gave me. I can drive or fly cross country and not have to stop. I wear parachute pants on the outside so nothing gets wet. I mark my spot everywhere I go.....you should try them. I hang them out on the cloths line catch the urine so I can spray my garden from pests. If I need to demonstrate at the Vets Office next time I see NIKI I can do that. They may start putting them on their dogs and cats. Hummmm....I could get rich from this ....probably sell them at the White House. mike
  19. Leak....did someone say leak?.......Thanks for being concerned about me......I took one this morning before I got up. You guys are great...always thinking about others.
  20. Larry, Man that 4 door Mack would look great with a Allison V-12 between the frame rails going down the dragstrip. I remember an old White with a V-12 dragrace set-up in one of my old Hot Rod Magazines. The windows were filled in and the driver looked through the vent in the center of the truck. This is getting my interest going now. mike
  21. Martin, the 24's in the picture are for the front normally or single unit each side. The rear called spring brakes are 24/24 double chambers. They are a must for parking and service. You'll be glad you got them. mike
  22. I would try giving ATHS (American Truck Historical Society) a call or look in their classified section or give them a call at (816)-891-9900 web- ATHS.com mike
