  1. I have inspected for the first time my transmission oil in the duplex. When I put my finger inside to see if the oil was near the filler plug....it was, but a strange thing I noticed was.....the oil was foamy with air and bubbles and the smell was of an old and whipped state of being. When I would start the truck it would start leaking oil where the flywheel or front shaft is located when the truck got warmed up or when I would drive it up and down the driveway. My question is can I use an oil with the oil that is now inside that will clean the old oil out of the transmission without damaging results to the gears? And what oil would ya recommend? THX mike
  2. HAPPY VETERANS DAY !!! If anyone is interested pickup a copy of a little paper back book by Sam Watkins called "Company Aytch" a side show of the big show. It is one of the best books about a veteran, and is a real experience coming from a private in the army. I hope you find it rewarding to read, I know I did and will never forget those guys. Thanks! mike
  3. Lost my only brother in feb. 05, then my dad oct. 08 and I never had any children, so only one I have now to confy with is God. And I confy in him each day. mike
  4. Tha plane is full of fuel and i've got the paint brush ( known as my antenna ) and today I picked up a special ladder. Looks like i'll be leaving soon. mike
  5. If you watched the Discovery Channel today you will find that scientist have now found a new island in the Atlantic ocean. They can't understand why they have not known of it until now. They said that it will be called the Roberta Island. It is spewing red hot lava for miles into the air........musta been from too much of the Hot Sauce Tom sent him....I hope Rob carried lots of TUMS with him, but looks like a one way ticket for him. mike
  6. Hey Tom! Just discovered tonight after the ballgame that my WATTS MACK teeshirt is made in NICARAGUA....I hope Barry realizes it and will make some adjustments. mike
  7. I hoped it would work for you but, who would know for sure? I can tell you that when I had problems with a car or truck I may be working on when I was a younger and at home, my dad would use the simplest methods sometimes and they would work most everytime. It would just get my goat that he would figure things out and I could not. mike
  8. I'm very disapointed because i've been looking for a Mexican set of wrenches and can't seem to find any. Tonight I was looking for a pipe wrench and went to Home Depot and found them to be only China made. I thought to myself that I had been taking care of the Chinese workers too long so I wanted to find an Irwin brand of wrench. I thought I was happy to find that old name brand so I bought it. I paid a big price for it but I knew that I would be satisfied. I get to my g/f's house to eat and brought in the IRWIN pipe wrench to brag on it alittle. Only to read on the packaging " MADE IN CHINA "......now how do you think I feel? I should have gone to SEARS. mike
  9. Tom, You were supposed to let her go out in front of the traffic then, run out there and save her from getting creamed. Then she would have called you her HERO. Get it right next time. Thats why she mouthed at you. mike
  10. The government allows it so we can pay the price to keep it. They will keep collecting revenue on it by banning it and start giving tickets when the police see you talking on it. mike
  11. Have you tried SEAR's.....CRAFTSMAN TOOLS.....if they break, you can return them without question......can't do that from an internet buy.....And they are made in USA......Chicago, Illinois. And bigger is always better no matter what they say. You can relate to that. mike
  12. Yeah, we don't want to do anymore painting and panting this week. Hard on the ole heart. mike
  13. Tom, I understood he was playing strip poker at some farmers home when the prize was an old mack. She was nice enough to really give it to him for a price....... ya think Rob would have wanted something else. mike
  14. You can put short bolts in the holes or bolt plates over the holes. Rob has spoken about this if you will go back into this forum....I believe it was posted last year on this same subject. It is not too hard to find on this forum...I do know it's here sometime back. mike
  15. No Sir it was not computerized. Even if it is, what can it hurt if you are just spraying it into the switch where the key goes into the cylinder? mike
  16. You have done your homework well when watching this site you have said the right things 60's Muscle Cars, Pete's. But ya didn't say ya like girls, so we will still be wondering if you are ok......but anyway welcome to the site. mike
  17. I've had this happen to me before and knew it was from corrosion in the switch. So I got the bright idea and sprayed WD40 into the switch and never had the problem again. Not saying this is the cure for your vehicle. But it's worth a try. mike
  18. I just wonder if she can work on Antenna's....I got one that has been bothering me fur a long time. mike
  19. I'm curious as to how many choices you are saying? I'm used to applying paint stripper and use sand blasting the rust and hard to get places. I'm not comfortable any longer with chemical smells, they seem to penetrate the walls and never go away. But I still believe getting the job done right. mike
  20. Hey...Hey....NOW.....you all got off the subject again.....we were talkin bout PAINTING....now lets get back to the subject!!!!!......actuator valves.....dogon them younguns. And by tha way.....Farrah Fawcett could have shown that gal how to body paint instead of doing it the hard way. mike
  21. What about glass beading the frame? What qualities will this have? mike
  22. Tom, he had to be talkin bout you.....he always talks about you....or is that at you?.....or maybe that was for you...I'm not sure....i'm confused again. Rob has that ability about him. It just came to mind that several times that I had passengers in my PIPER ARROW the fuses are on the panel at the passengers knees. I'll tell them to excuse me for I have to check the fuses to see if they are fully in and not blown in the out position. This one of the pre-flight check list check offs before startup. Mack was smart to put them in the same area. I think when I have a special passenger in my truck, i'll tell them that I have to check my fuses before startup...that gets the knees spred quickly. mike
  23. The area you live in also plays a factor with how quickly your truck can be sold. Take for instance, if you lived in Farmington, Illinois you might be able to get her gone much quicker. And remember, it's better to give than recieve. mike
  24. Tom, Ya should have left me an e-mail and looked me up when you were in Nashville. I'da bought ya a steak dinner. mike
  25. Tom,.......that's just Crocadile Dundee in the above picture laying in the water. He's looking for something to eat.....wait......hold tha phone........ya know it might be Rob stalking for food in another one of his outfits. He just keeps me always guessing what he really looks like. The other picture......your on your own with that one. mike
