  1. Last weekend I bought an owl at the local hardware store. It turns it's head all the way around and also who's 3 times at any movement. That owl sure has been busy this week He's sitting on my deck to guard my Mack from the Robins that like to s*@t on everything they can. Cab is mostly covered and they will still find a way to drop a bomb on it's somewhere uncovered spot. I will say that the $30.00 I payed for that owl has been worth every penny. Maybe I should have mounted it on the Mack to keep those Robins off of it, that ole Bulldog ain't doin his job. ...........I might need to just pitch it all in and get me a Scarecrow from someone's garden....Don't ya think that would do the trick? HUH. mike
  2. Fred, He looks like the kind of person that can enjoy himself no matter where he's at. But poor guy looks like he's about to run out of food cause tha plate looks empty. maybe the Good Ship Fat Guy is full of goodies. Would you say that ship runs on self propelled natural gas........LOL......since it has no motor or sails.....could use some planes on her to lower the bow. mike
  3. I'll be flying down on thursday 28th and land at Carl Jones International Airport and get a courtesy car. I can't stay overnight because of an obligation at home with a new garage being built. Hope to see some people from the BMT their. mike
  4. Fred, How did ROB do with the Video? mike
  5. I doubt that I stay for the whole day unless Rob, Tom, FreightTrain, Fred, Herb, and or James will be there. Maybee Bobby can come down from Ole Ky. if not then I won't need any suntan lotion, just a bottle of coolant. Although I like all Macks, the B-Model is and has been my favorite. Maybe I can look at a few of them clean trucks up close and see where the engine and transmission is at since mine has more grease on the outside of the engine than on the inside......LOL.....LOL. Later mike
  6. Fred, That sure is a cute boy ya have there. I could sure use him around my house.......LOL..... He would have fun riding my tractors. I know you're proud of him. Maybe we can see him at a show sometime. mike
  7. By calling the Mack Museum would be my first choice. But remember this museum needs funds to help people like you and me, so if you can donate some funds they will bend over backwards to help you. Let them know the information that you have for a VIN # that should let them do some research for you. It may take a few weeks to get a return letter from the Museum. The museum hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday only, from 10:00a.m. untill 4:00p.m. .......Ph# 1-800-866-1177 or 610-266-6767. Regards mike
  8. Hey guys, It's just battle wounds. You get them when you become a veteran. The Mack brothers would be proud of you and your trucks if they could see them today. I know that i'm proud to see your trucks over the net when you post pictures and hear you tell stories about them. Have A GREAT DAY!!!! mike
  9. Call Sen. Kennedy, he might be able to change a few laws to help you out. I'm with Paul on that subject. In the bible it speaks of times will get so bad that the people will pray the mountains fall upon them. mike
  10. Tom, She's a beautiful woman. I know it is difficult to loose a piece of your life. But we cannot stand still and not keep on keeping on. I was once married to a redhead also. She enjoyed going to car shows and helping me with the car and club events. The years for us were 85-92. My dad once told me that the only ones that will love you most and stand by you thick or thin is your mom and dad........I hoped he would be wrong.......so far he is has been right. Mom's birthday is tomorrow so I will take her to my favorite Mexican food probably or she'll want me to take her to the Krystal and get her some hamburgers. I keep telling her she's the cheapest date i've ever had, so why don't we go to Ole Charleys.....No I want to get some Krystal's she'll say.......go figure......LOL mike
  11. Fred, Thats great!, I know many and including me will be glad to have this to look at and use it for training purposes as well. For us Mack Lovers I would even like to someday go to a web-site to get information from a B- Model Repair Manual. This would not cause the people to leave the BMT site, but would help educate those like myself to better understand what the in's and out's are all about. I myself believe in the ole tried and true hands on training that ya don't always get from a book. Their will always be questions to ask and we already have that resource here, plus we have ROB too. Thanks Fred I'll be watching mike
  12. I drove mine yesterday and was going to pull out a small stump near the house, but as soon as I pulled off the road into the yard it started to sink down and I did not need ruts in the yard. So looks like i'm going to need the old armstrong method again as I started with it last week. My g/f was there to help put chocks under the wheels. We later used her 4 wheel drive Honda but it would not budge it. I tried to shift the B model as you guys were talking about in another post. But it was better but I still think the trans needs a new throwout bearing and possible pilot bearing. I really don't like to guess about it, but when I get the new garage next month I hope I can start putting some time into the truck. The air compressor is doing ok for now at least the governor is cutting out normal. Oil is still a big factor with it and I have not cleaned the filter yet. It is on my to do list. I'm glad to hear the hood is fixed on Miss Becky! You are probably close to being ready for some truck shows? I was hoping next weekend I could go to my first one near my home with my truck, but looks like the crew is getting ready to come and dig the footing for starting of the garage next weekend. I will be at the Huntsville, Alabama ATHS Show on thursday 5/28/09 since I took vacation that day only. You mentioned tires, and the ones put on my truck are China brand and ones on front are fairly new and drivers are decent but are ok. When I have to buy tires, they will most likely be Made In USA. with the Good House Keepng Seal Of Approval on them....LOL.....with the pay more and get less warranty on them..... got to go help Mom see ya later. mike
  13. Fred, Glad it worked out for you. And thanks for the information, it will come in handy for the rest of us also. mike
  14. Tom, What's the latest with Miss Becky? mike
  15. I miss my baby. She's gone and not sure what barn she's in. Booo Hoooo mike You can not ignore me for long. LOL
  16. I want my Mixer back home..........I miss it very much. I'm talkin about Miss Becky........LOL mike
  17. Herb, I'm glad no one was burned or hurt!!!.....I'm also glad they don't fly airplanes either with that kind of neglegance. But you can't walk off from them. mike
  18. Fred, Is rebuilding the one ya have out of the question since time is a factor? mike
  19. Mack daddy, Can't you tell by the old log cabin that he's from Ole Kentuck. He probably has a few Morgan's Raiders signs in his garage....LOL.....Actually the daughter is ok with me, but I would like to know someone that is not afraid of me coming into their garage to help and to learn. I thought that I lucked up on that opportunity last year when I was interested in a B model from Murfreesboro,TN. I did not buy the truck from the person and him and his friends went sour because of it and so that caused me to not be able to call them for any info about Macks or come back to his shop again. Ya take one step forward and ten steps back. Just like motorcycling, i've just about fed up with that crowd also because there is always someone that wants to dominate over the others. If ya don't do as they want they will mess it up for everyone else. mike
  20. Tom is right, I'm afraid when anyone starts talkin bout dem weapons. I believe Rob keeps a leash on her and goes on all the dates with her. Poor little girl, I was just trying to give her a break so she could go to town and shop by herself.......LOL mike
  21. Tom, Looks like a road that I would enjoy very much. If your not draggin the pegs then ya mite as well sta home. Rowdy, the KZ looks better with someone laying on the tank in a blurr.....LOL MackDaddy, as for guns....the only one's I'm concerned about is the on pointing at me at close range, not one laying up in a window. I never wanted to advertise what I have to all the theives out there. Just my .02 cents only. How can I worry about the bullet that I don't hear? By then your dead. mike
  22. Fred, If Rob is coming over I bet it will cost a plenty. And if he is to be a cameraman, I figure you may stick him out on the hood and he can video the shifting through the window. This way the cab will not be steached out of proportion. It's very difficult to find a cab reducer tool. I also hope he can get along with the chrome dog on the hood since he's a bit larger than it.........LOL mike

    Rant For The Day

Tom, I saw that on TV and I noticed his face went sour. She did an outstanding job answering him. I'm glad there is still some real women out there. I just have not found one for myself. Seems ya get in trouble saying whats on your heart now in this comie country. mike
  24. Paul, I'll second that motion. It's the best place to go and find brake needs. mike
  25. Tom, I would like to see the Mixer on that road as long as i'm not on it. ...LOL...I would have the biggest laugh of my life if that was possible. COPS like the road very much. North Carolina bikers like it until they get caught without their helmet. They do not have to wear one. So they get a ticket in Tennessee for not wearing one. Just wonder if ole Tom Jackson rode through Gladys, if it were a town back 146 years ago? mike
