  1. Sounds good to know that another trans is out there and ready for delivery, but I'm going to hang on until I can get more active with this truck. Thanks mike
  2. Have you tried NAPA or WATTS on this web-site? mike
  3. Tom, Several of us on bikes have been to Abingdon, VA and spent the night at a B&B, it was a great ride with many good curves to lay down on. The Dragon is Great for first timers, but can be overwhelming at first. I like to eat trout at their resturant when I go. Most of the time you will meet up with several hundred riders on any saturday. Tom if you are up for some really big excitement, then this is the place to go. Question, is Glady's close to Roanoke? I've been to Lexington and Roanoke several times. mike
  4. Fred, I have tried that method and it definitly does not work. The shifter will not pull easily out of gear at any speed except at all STOP. Just like my SuperM's you have to stop before shifting into any gear. mike
  5. So he's saying that he's a real GRABBER. And can only play with one STICK at a time......POOR MOMMA!!!!........I hear the rust in someone's roof a callin. mike
  6. Hey Fred, If you don't mind doing so, I bet there would be plenty of folks out there that would benefit from a video of your transmission setup. Tell what kind it is then drive it while someone video's the event. I think it would be great for the forum. That is if you have time to do so. I would do this, but mine is having gear clash at all speeds but starting off in 1st Lo and Hi. I always shutdown my truck with both trans. in neutral. It takes about 10 seconds for it to go into 1st Lo feeling the gears slowing down and stopping before I can shift into 1st Lo with clutch always too the floor. I've heard some people say that ya have to feel the gears. Maybe so, but if it's clashing at any speed and clutch distance off the floor then I feel my truck is having clutch issues. It looks as if the trans. is so covered in grease that I figure it has not had any adjustments in a bunch of years or it's time for a new something. I have the duplex I believe it's a TRD 67. with brake in the floor. Last owner said he did not have it set-up. mike
  7. Herb, What kind of saddle is on that horse? Kinda looks like one of those race horse saddles. Sure has the tail (Pony). Only the hard ankles come to my neighborhood. OHHHHH YEAAAAAA mike
  8. I'll be glad to do this here in Tennessee. Thanks mike
  9. Hey, I can appreciate that. I'll look the identifier ( CAK ) up in the sectional. I buy materials etc. from Sporty's in Clermont County. I guess you are talking about the T-Bird in your garage? Ya noticed Rob has not invited me and Tom up yet, and I can only guess why. He's afraid I might start breathing too hard.....LOL....LOL ......I hope ya caught my drift. mike
  10. I'll second that motion!!!.......Hi Larry......Are you putting the wagon into it's paces lately? Time for some test & tune at most of the local tracks. I'm at work and will go fly this afternoon at 5:30 p.m. doing some pattern work.....touch & goes and staying up on my night currency. HAVING FUN mostly. mike
  11. Welcome to BMT and you have been wise getting a MACK, but I should not have to tell you that, everyone on this site will say the same. Much luck to you in the future. mike
  12. Welcome to this site. And many people are here to help if need be. Much luck to you in the future. mike
  13. It's kind of like wanting a real g/f and settle for a blowup. Sorry could not resist mike
  14. RedHorse, I'm trying to understand your question about the shifting. I also would like to know if your truck has the handbrake next to your right leg.? And are you having problems meshing with the gears?.....I'll back out of the post if it is something other than what i'm thinking. Also having the transmission #'s will help when discussing about your particular setup. Thank You mike
  15. Not sure what i'm going to do today. G/f is going to her sister's to have easter. I may go flying and get some cross wind landings always could train for those. Or take mom down the Natchez Trace Pkwy. Dad use to take us on a Sunday drive now I get to do this. Happy Easter All !!!! mike
  16. Guy's I got this feelin that Rob is trying the Easter Bunny outfit on.....and hiding all the eggs he's bought from himself. And tomorrow he will go outside and look for all them eggs. Wish we could all be their to see it happen.......Today I have been cleaning the Harley......Man that job of getting into all them crevices is one tough task, but it has to be done. Only touched the B today but have not started it this weekend. Watched a Si-Fi movie, then went for a 30 minute ride on the Harley. I like the attention it gets, but sometimes it gets a bit too much and I don't like that. Got to go eat supper mike
  17. Looks like a winner to me. Like you said also I would be concerned about the distance from the cab to keep the heat from burning. It's difficult to see it from only one angle that you have presented us. And I guess you have allowed for the heat shield also?If you can post more picture angles. Thanks for posting! mike
  18. I'm allways listening to the women shopping at the grocery and they talk about too much cholesterol because of the fat content. i not going to worry after seeing this LEAN bacon. I'll probably fix sausage, bacon with eggs and biscuits in the morning with some chow chow. Top it off with glass of tomato juice. For desert i'll have some human ears on a biscuit with grey poupone spred. UMMMMMM......mighty delicious. mike
  19. Man......I had to get on top of the computer table and then bend over the top looking down to see what it was. At first I thought Rob was repairing the Outhouse or something.......yea and now my back and neck is killin me to. And i'm gettin hornie thinkin about bacon. I guess i'll never think badly about how much cholesterol is in bacon, never again. Was that LEAN CUISINE BACON? mike
  20. Sure looks like MIGHTY MOUSE has been there. Rob, Why is the hood back off the girl that I would like to meet Mustang? I guess Tom, Larry and myself will have to show up and help out in the shop. mike
  21. Rob, Thanks for the info. I have not done any of this work since I finished my 65 Falcon HardTop back in the summer of 1990. I have only painted with solid colors, very little of metalics. When a person does these things for a living it's a little easier to stay on top of the game. Rob, I like to ask these questions that may seem to be simple for some, but may be difficult for others on this site. It gives info to people that have little or no experience. I have always loved to learn and see that others have learned from these experiences. I appreciate the help and I like helping other people meet their goals also. mike
  22. Is the dressing down mean you are problably using a 400 grit sandpaper.......maybe with water?......Have you ever looked close enough to see a color bleed into the other paint from removal of your tape-line? Thanking You! mike
  23. Rob, When Painting a for example "Door Panel" say you have masked off the area that you do not want to paint. The tape always leaves a shoulder as the paint is higher than where it is no paint. My question is, how can ya not have the low place between the tape line and the other color that you might have taped off and covered up. ......Like a two-tone paint job?........Hope I have explained that correctly!.....I never got to ask my brother about that. Thanks mike
  24. Rob, I think you've got a great idea their. I would just add a piece of glass clean-up the area paint and make it a Mack Moon Roof. mike
  25. Paul, Thanks for posting this blog for people like myself that has not yet had to change the units. I'll sure keep this in mind. mike
