  1. Rob, I agree about the Hastings products. Have used them for many years for autos. But is it cheaper to go with Mack Dealer? I have the B model fuel filter same as Fred. mike
  2. Where can the Baldwin filters be purchased at, so I can buy my first filters for my B61 with 672P Thanks mike
  3. Hi Glenn, This is the method the repair guy told me to connect charger. I'm now wandering why? Thanks for the help. That is exactly the way I was connecting it as you explained to me. But last week I decided to put the charger on for a couple of hours. Before I connected power to the charger, I connected the charger to the battery and got a good arch. I could not understand why the arch. I continued and seemed no other problems occured. I'm hoping the weather here will be good tomorrow. Again many thanks. mike
  4. Decided to charge one of my batteries with them still hooked up. I have 2 twelve volt batteries positive ground system. My thoughts was to hook the charger to a battery by connecting positive lead to positive side of the battery and negative lead to negative side of the battery and not paying attention to the large cable hookup. Can someone tell me in laymans terms how to hook the charger to a battery correctly. I have made this simple task a real bear. I've been told to think the opposite by connecting my leads neg. to pos. and pos. to neg..... it has not made since yet. Thanks mike
  5. Couldn't help but to post my thoughts also but,..... WHO SAID WE HAD TO SUPPORT IT.???.......... I turn many programs off. I can do without lots of unecessary things, that are costing me. I could have more Mack parts. LOL mike
  6. Hi Rod, Welcome to Big Mack Trucks web-site. You will find it a quite interesting place. We have lots of R-model folks out there. So you can feel at home here. mike
  7. Hey Rob, I,m still playing with the same emblem. It's now ready for the plater. The studs are made from brass 1/4 wide by 1 inch long. I will use the nylon flat washers against the paint, also brass nuts. I'll try and post a photo soon. It must be nice to have a son or a daughter that will think enough of a father. My girl friend bought me a digital camera for christmas but i'm alittle skeptical about her buying me anything MACK yet. I'm not sure if she thinks enough of me even after dating me for almost 3 years in this May...... Oh yea... as you speak of a weight problem I believe everyone thinks they have one. As for me looking at my photo standing by my mack, you would not think of me as having a weight problem but I do also. I'm 185 and should be 155 because of my small frame. I border on being a diabetic . Its because I eat anything I want and when I want. I feel better when I eat lite and eat vegetables, no grease. mike
  8. Someone is having a birthday tomorrow. It actually starts mid-night tonight and ends at mid-night tomorrow night. They will party all day and night. I think they started partying today smoking something big in their garage. I almost thought Monica Lewinski was there smoking cigars in the garage with, well I would not want to say too soon. But we will soon find out who this mystery man or woman is. YOU will have to wait, SORRY. P. S. I hope they will identify themselves to you with a photo shot before the day is done tomorrow. Good Luck People! mike
  9. Guys, I guess we'll have to take up a collection and get him a shop fan. Maybe teach his dog to open the back door to get some cross ventilation. lol......... Goodmorning and I hope the day gets better for ya.......... I'm just jelious cause I don't have a garage that big, or I would smoke one up also. mike
  10. Barry, That Mack Truck video was excellent. I truly enjoy anything that you have for us to watch on this site. Thanks mike
  11. Rob, I believe i've seen this person before on a billboard for " MOST WANTED ", not sure what they could be wanted for. LOL Word has it most of their work is done over the internet. A striking resemblance to someone that jumped up on the hood of my F 700 Truck coming through town one night. mike
  12. Yaw is makin me head hurt. An I thot a duplex wus a house wid a mudder in law next doe. As fur shiftin, we always did, me and de ol lady, not de mudder in law........... I'm a goin now. Sta tuned fur da nxt show. mike
  13. Tell Momma that snot want hurt anyone. If not, just tell her to check your nose. LOL....... There's good bacteria and bad bacteria. I won't tell her to stick a wefuig anywhere else. Or any other orifice of your's. LOL but Rob she sounds like a very experienced woman. I still think you ought to post that picture. LOL mike

  18. Welcome to MACK Country! mike
  19. Paul, We knew that already. It just seems to come out of a guy when he's been married long. LOL............ Some of you make single life past 50 sound even better and better. I can go home at night and the house is quite and peaceful. Me and the Ole Mack. ......... the life of Riley. Thanks for making me feel better! mike
  20. Hey Rob, Thats a lot better luck than the Titans had tonight. They just did not play football. Glad to hear of your good luck. mike
  21. I'll have to look for that picture next time at my moms house. I know dad had that and someday i'll post a picture of him standing on top of their largest gun. A 240 long tom. He said his outfit A Battery had one, also B an C Batteries had them. The other guns were 155 Howitzers and 105s. My dad was the radio operator for the guns. Telling the men what the officers tent commanded them windage, elevation, and how many bags of powder to install in the breach. Thanks for sharing this! mike
  22. The picture of the truck pulling the gun, i've seen it before. My dad was with Gen. Patton's 3rd Army. Dad was in the 272nd Artillery Battalion
  23. Hey Larry, Hows the air ride suspension coming into play? I hope Santa was that good to ya. That black button would surely look GREAT! post a picture when it happens. I'd like to see it. I'm waiting for the weather to change for the better to work on the truck. Getting ready to watch some FOOTBALL. Our TITANS are playing the Baltimore Ravens this afternoon. 4:30 o'clock your time. 21:30 Zulu my time or 3:30 p.m. mike
  24. Rob, Yes I've seen the cost of New part and my heart stopped beating for about 20 seconds. There was a dent on the front side so I took a piece of wood on the back side and hammered it back out toward the front. Still has a defect in the metal but maybe the plater can fill it in. I'll surely be satisfied after I get new studs installed. I believe i'll use the stainless studs as you said but fine threads only and use small lock washers and nuts. mike
  25. Glenn, Any lite weight oil is better than none. I've even used ATF. ATF is always around and not that expensive since not much has to be used. I've used the Mystery oil also but normally save it for loosening internal parts. Back in the 60's my dad would use oil to squirt in an engine while it was running. Or use BarDall for upper valve lubricant. Those Were The Days! mike
