    Garage Fan

Your absolutely right about Graingers Larry. We have one down the street from where I work(play). Maybe the boss could loan me his discount card so I could get a 10 cent discount.

    Garage Fan

No Paul. It is enclosed. The fan was a used one from a garage sale and was a cheap fan to begin with. I forgot about Graingers. They have Dayton products which are very good. Thanks for the heads up. I took note of the azsupply the other day on another thread. Looks like they have pretty good stuff also.
  4. Very nice Paul. Still don't see how Harley pulled it off and stayed around.

    Garage Fan

Sorry guys, I know the thread before mine was delightful, but I need to know if I can still find a garage pedistal fan that has a motor that can be oiled, like the good ones were back in the day? I will need one that i'm not oiling the shaft in hopes of freeing it up from a dry shaft that will not turn even if you try and oil it with WD40 or the like. I'm about to throw the one i've been using away because the shaft will turn, but not with the power on. Only by hand. I would like a new fan that is MADE IN THE USA..
  6. Thanks for sharing. I learned something from this video.I like old bikes, especially the fender skirted Indians. Seems like the British leaned more on the Triumph Bonneville. I still see new ones occasionally that look the same as the 50"s version. You would think Indian would reproduce the Scout again. I would probably buy one, if they kept the quality.
  7. Larry, sure looks and sounds great. You'll be wanting an upgrade on the trans next. LOL I say go for it.
  8. Man......I sure would enjoy being at the Wentworth By The Sea again.
  9. I'd like to have one of the green or blue Chevy Stakebeds with a BIG 6 under the hood.
  10. Mike, you good and well know that is why they built CRANES for those kinds of jobs. Don't swell, get well.....hope your back up soon.
  11. How much weight went down with that knee did you say?
  12. This stuff is fantastic. I do remember some of those times. Drivers were tuff especally those that slept inside those small cab's. I like the rounded off trailers and I remember those motors running on top of the trailers. Those were the good ole days for me as a kid, but I don't know what the drivers thought about it. My dad worked for Mason Dixon Line here in Nashville on the dock's. He turned me away from trucking and anything else. I never knew why. Thanks for posting Paul.
  13. Last time I looked they work back and forth. Sorry it's been a long month. Yes they work from the engine compressor. Most of the time when they move slow it is because of slug in the system and needs a good cleaning. Or it needs a new govner. Hey I still can't spell when I saw posted Christy Brinkley, maybe if I had her number then I could get well or maybe better?
  14. The Mack Museum is a great place to start and eBay. I bought an old Motors manual to add to my library. I hope this helps.
  15. LOL.....Barry's Rickter Scale just went up another couple of degrees. I can't help it Barry....cause these guy's crack me up also.
  16. I hope it is coming from the treadle valve and not from under the seat. I always have air leaking from somewhere when I's go to sit's down.
  17. I was going to say carry a large screwdriver with you in case it dies on you out there somewhere"s and needs to cross over the poles. Bee ware the sparks can excite the person using the screwdriver. LOL
  18. RPM X Tire Diamemter divided by gear ratio x 336 = MPH Seems like most of these engines are 2100 rpm to the floor.
  19. Larry, the day I came up to see you, you were keeping her pretty quite. BTW, you have not introduced her to the BMT family yet. And remember we like pictures.
  20. Where is Hatcity. We have not heard his excuse. I thought he would post the kid video from good times past.
  21. Larry, Think you could use some help? I know someone on BMT has the Winfall Womens phone #. Bet all them could give you some good help. LOL
  22. American Shifter Company you may want to view these on line. They have many to choose from. phone: 971-222-2556
  23. Back in 1990 I bought a new Mustang. Put 12,000 miles on it before getting the bright idea to change over to 20w50 Mobil1 fully synthetic oil from the 10w30 conventional oils. From that day forward that engine started to leak oil. It leaked from every gasket on that engine. I have never gone back to synthetic oils because of that reason. I new it had good qualities in synthetic oils but not at that expense of oil being lost on the ground. But as they say some peoples pockets are deeper.
  24. I'd really be messed up trying to navigate this site if she were on. Be mispelling word more then I doo.
  25. Looks like a Oliver 70 Row Crop, narrow front end. I believe a big 6 cylinder. I like the Mack hauling the right color tractors also.
