  1. The info is from that site. We use it often. mike
  2. I know what you mean. The upper hose goes into a housing that would appear to have a thermostat, it is big enough to have several. I went to my local Industrial Rubber Company and showed them the unit I had to work with and they measured the ID and got me the diaphram I needed. It does not leak now. The engine still has to develop enough heat to operate the shutterstat. Then the shutters will open accordingly. Barry sells the thermostat and I bought one but I cannot find where it goes either. I think the gas engines accommodate the thermostat instead of the diesels. The difference of the END P vs. the END is a smaller wrist pins with the P engines. mike
  3. Victor, You may want to try Watt's Truck Center on this site first. Or several other options are: www.olsonsgaskets.com phone number is 360-871-1207 M thru F 8 a.m. till 4p.m. PST. or I went with Vintage Engines and Machine Mr. Mike Meuler phone #208-651-1161 I hope this helps! mike
  4. I'm wondering why everyone looked like they were happy in the photo? Must a been a big breakfast. Did I spot Vinny standing behind with a Mack dark gray tee shirt on? mike
  5. Happy B Day to ya. mike
  6. You might call Barry at WATTS Truck Center from this site. He posted many of the B Model spec sheet material. mike
  7. Thomas......my END 673 P motor has no thermostat. My understanding of the setup is.......the shutters do all of the temperature issues by going through the shutterstat that has the air hose attached to open up the shutters. Now with that said.....my understanding is......that the truck will run cooler without a trailer attached. That is why the engine loads up by not working the truck. The exhaust will run richer with black exhaust pipe. I believe some trucks will run hotter, depending on the closeure of the shutters. This subject has come up before but not to this extint. I hope someone else will elaborate on this subject soon. Does your shutterstat get hot air from the engine? Does it leak air? if the engine gets up to say.....160 degrees then the shutterstat will open the shutters just enough to allow the temp to maintain say 160 degrees. mike
  8. Did you go to the WIKI Section on this site? Go to Antique trucks, B Model engines section. I hope this is what you are looking for. mike
  9. I would like to see the pictures also. I've never seen a UR wimmins. mike
  10. Ken did you fix up some sleeping quarters in the pup trailer for the event? mike
  11. Oh......yea. And you have to pay attention instead of looking at wimmins while cruising. mike
  12. No I have to disagree with the seat time thing. Actually the more seat time will give you hemroids and you will hit more curbs and will mess up your whole dog gone day. Then you have get the monkey butte powder on the back side. mike
  13. Did Leslie trade hood ornaments with one of them two legged kind? mike
  14. I think you will like the results from these two paint can products, one or the other. I have sprayed the paint and back it up with a paint thinner rag then when finished use some Armor-All on tires. I've had very good results. It will save you time and tape. mike
  15. Dang-It.......I had a choice yesterday in several things I wanted to do with my saturday. Do a brake job on my car, meet 84Superdog to see a B-29 or go riding ( I call it my 400 mile ride). I decided to go for the 400 mile ride. Started off goofing up by getting into a hurry, cause it was 9:30 a.m. before deciding to go. Looked at my tires and had to put air in both. The front tire is almost totally bald. Finished getting ready by 10:15 a.m. and the morning was quickly flying by. Had to go back inside to get the topo map of TN. (which was a vital tool). Got several blocks from the house and decided to go back cause I forgot my camera. Well finally found the camera and saw the battery was low and decided to not bring it along. Just that almost caused me to not go, but went on anyway. It was not my best day for a safe ride since almost running over 2 buzzards in the road, 1 dog, 1 mouse. Wanted to cut the afternoon shorter by going through Manchester and not thinking about what event was happening their. BONNAROO Music Festival. Had to use my topo map to find a better escape from that area. On this trip I saw several old tractors, trucks a delapadated mining buildling in Alabama. Saw a B Model dump truck that I saw last year to date on this same ride. I hope to get the camera next trip. The mileage was 397 miles total> G/f said I should have gone around the block a few times. I was bushed, sunburned, hungry and the heat had me dehydrated badly. But for some unknown reason I push myself when on a ride. I guess that I cannot get in enough scenery in a day? Next Time mike
  16. Yea...those that remember, he wanted to cut me over flying out and visiting her when she was single. OtherDog remembers. mike

  20. Sad days ahead. A couple of days ago I needed brake shoes for the rear of my car and enquired of the old brands I used. Well found out all are now made in Mexico or China. Yes I bit the bullit and bought Wagner. Or i'll have to go with the Fred Flintstone method of braking. Yaba Daba Doooo. mike
  21. Good pictures. Thanks for sharing. It made me think of the neighbor behind us back in the 60's. He drove a cab over KW about 1964 or 65 for Dupont in Roanoke, VA. and lived in Donelson....a suburb of Nashville......A Mr. Trent.....man I had almost forgot. His son Bobby Trent was a friend of my brothers and taught me how to shift gears on a 1957 Fairlane Ford. mike
  22. Happy Birthday all of you today. mike
  23. I like it both ways. mike
  24. Hey Matt, Is the 20 inch a standard wheel for the B's? I need a good wheel and am not sure as what size and how many splines for it to fit properly. A wheel is all I need for my truck to be in very good shape. mike
  25. As long as the names don't get mixed up, somebody wearing the wrong name. It Happens. mike
