  4. I have visited the Titanic Museum Exhibits in Orlando, FL and thought it was fantastic. Also the museum in Pigeon Forge, TN. As you enter the museum, you recieve a Boarding Pass to enter the ship. I actually recieved the Boarding Pass of Thomas Andrews, the designer of the Titanic and other ships for the White Star Line. He wanted to double the number of life boats to 64 and wanted a double hull built extending up to the B Deck which would have prevented its sinking but was overrulled in these issues. He was last seen by Mary Sloan a stewardess on the ship throwing deck shairs into the Atlantic to save lives. John Stewart, a steward on the Titanic, reported Andrews was last seen in the First-Class Smoking Room staring at a painting " Plymouth Harbour " above the fireplace depicting Plymouth Sound which the Titanic was to visit on the return voyage. He is considered a HERO. I'll always remember mike
  5. I've only seen those size lights at construction sites on road barriers years ago. mike
  6. Hey Mike, Would you at least send in the numbers off the frames before you destroy them forever to the Mack Museum? mike
  7. You'll find him at the end of his driveway without his cell phone. That is where he has been found, out of fuel and no way to call home. I flew over the area yesterday and saw a SOS etched in the driveway and looked like someone waving their arms for help I guess. I felt my bladder getting heavy and thought it looked like a good place to empty my bladder out the window. For some reason, I felt better than I ever felt before. Should we call momma and see if she has missed him? Naaa mike
  8. Have you tried Kevin All in Harpersville, NY ? if not his phone # 607-652-7740 and e-mail mightymousekda@aol.com Hope this helps. Kevin is a great guy to do buisness with. I've bought numerous parts from and have been happy with the results. mike
  9. With Vinny it may be Gee and Haw. mike
  10. Good pictures, and a good time was had. I'm now hungry seeing the Mennonite Resturant. We need one around here. I have to go 30 miles to Guthrie, Kentucky before finding one of their stores and bakery. No resturant with good food like you have there. mike
  11. Welcome, and hope you have a good time with your truck. mike
  12. I truly understand how you can miss someone such as him. I miss my father and probably think of him still each day. Mine was shipped over on the Queen Elizabeth while it was a troop carrier also. He landed on Omaha Beech but did not have to go in until they cleared the beech of all the dead GI's. My Sympathies go out to you and your families. mike
  13. I'd say very nice and glad you finally got to bring it home. You have a very interesting find and it looks good. Keep up tha good work the truck deserves it after all these years. mike
  14. I hope you can save it, if it's all possible. Funny thing about seeing these trailers is. I find myself looking at old trailers also. They are not really hard to find if you are trying to find them. But look like another big project to get involved with. mike
  15. I have been searching for a simple clutch spring for my B Model. It happens to be the clutch return spring for the pedal. It is about 8 inches in total length and is a coned extension spring with swivel hooks on each end. No one at truckpro, Nashville Spring, Fleetpro, Nashville Diesel. Have also searched online and found Lee Spring but have to buy 10 springs to quilify to buy their product. I know they are out there somewhere. Also need a clutch disc or my 10 speed Duplex TRD 72. Not sure if they call it a 14 inch or a 15 inch setup. Thanks mike
  16. Glad you guys got here safe. Make sure you check out lower Broadway, from the river up to Union Station at 10th Avenue. Walking is the best way to explore.I'll check back when I can. I'm at 9th and Commerce from 7a.m. till 1 p.m. today. mike mike
  17. Oh that's just ole Rob........he does this to his trucks to keep them limbered up and to get some heat to the engine. It keeps the engine clean to run them with a plow. He's been known to hitch up momma and see if the truck will out pull her. But to this day......well you know who, by now, pulls all the weight in the family. mike
  18. I see Larry's B Model in the background. It just amazes me that these kinds of events are out their some place. I think this is great. Only concern is how rare these machines are and in hopes of getting the parts to keep them running. I'd like to see this kind of events in my area of the country. Just wonder if there is enough interest down here? Keep up the good work. mike
  19. Looks like a job for our one and only randyp. He's a tall Texan with loads of experience and a truck load of friends. Might pm him, he'll be glad to help you in the field. mike
  20. Hey Tim, Since I work downtown Smashville. The suggestion of 2nd and 3rd Avenues are a good choice. Broadway starts at the riverfront, 1st Ave. and goes west which turns into Westend. It is Rt.70 not to get you confused. I really suggest going on line and making your choices of where to stay and visit. It is too much to list here. Funny for me is I never thought our city was an interesting place to visit. I'm no Country Music Fan. Opryland was a good place until that was torn down and made a Opry Mills Mall which has a Bass Pro Shop. What day is your arrival and how many days are you here? mike

  25. I would have but i've been gone all day on the 2 lanes riding my motorcycle. You would think his uncle would have caught that and strung him up by tha thumbs. Somebody is falling down on tha job here. mike
