  3. Hey lobo, Where it said reply to this topic, you accidently touched the letters above the box where you started your sentence. If you look next time you reply to something, you will see a B I U S x x Just take the mouse and click off the letter or letters. mike
  4. Vinny, The ornament you have, may have been worn on a hat. I'm thinking ( OH it hurts to do that ) that it is a hat pin worn by truck drivers of that company. Jist a gess mike
  5. I have always wanted a woman that respected herself and others but would not take any crap from others and could stand her ground. That has been hard to find. Also the families have been a problem and stuck their noses where they should not. I've had several father in laws that were whipped and I felt sorry for them. But I could not do anything about it but keep out of the problems. You can sometimes be talking to people about values and make lots of sense but when put to the test you can see many blunders. Most of my inlaws had a son that ruled over them and was very hateful with their parents.Everytime the son was at an event like xmas etc. the son always had the floor with everything and knew more than anyone else. They should have been back handed long ago. They spared the rod Mark. Any way i'll get off my past events. Glad I don't have to be there anymore. I always remembered what a boss told me once. He said Mike, sometimes you have to loose to win. I never forgot him and hope I never do. He has passed away in 2005 and every person he had made contact with liked him as a person. I never heard different. I had great respect for him and he did me to. mike
  6. Congratulations on your Mack, looks like you have found a nice truck. Take your time and enjoy the restoration when your ready. Have you met Freightrain from Canton, OH ? mike

  14. Hey randyp.......can you get a photo of that dead cow again. I did not get to see it up close and personal. If there is anything left, will you send it to the Road Kill Cafe? Oh yea also some more of those patties too. mike
  15. Welcome and glad you saved that B Model from extinction. mike
  16. I know of this truck. Went to look at it early 2008 before I purchased the one I now own. He wanted 12gs for it then. Brakes need help was the only factor I found. I found out it was a Marsch Grocery Store truck from ILL. I may still have the name of the owner at home but not sure. It has the correct brown seats and upholstery and is in very good shape. I do know the shutters worked. I believe it has been registered some years ago. mike
  17. Don't ya think he was just trying to butter up some Mack guys with that price knowing all along no one is going to pay that much for them and also knowing they are going to the boneyard anyway, so he can get price for scrap weight? mike
  18. I probably should take a photo of the old Riverside Raceway west of Nashville about 12 miles. It was visible from interstate I- 40 West. I recall the telephone poles were very close to the track. It was a narrow two lane Dragstrip with single line down the middle of it. My friend from Morristown, TN and I were at this track in the summer of 1971 and watched 2 Funny Cars go side by side and almost losing it. There were trees at the end of the track and river after that. Today the grass has almost taken over the whole track, but the telephone poles are still there and small control tower is a junk den. I also recall the Tennessee Highway Patrol would keep a close watch out for people stopping on the side of the interstate to watch the races. Yea, seemed to me we had some cop traps way back then to. mike

    Damned Monday:

I just wonder when the Mack will start rejecting the Pete's parts and fall off, probably when going full speed down the driveway just before the fuel runs out. mike
  20. Try and give Barry a call. He can fix your woes on here. I have not seen that before. I have not been able to add photos before and gave Barry a call so he fixed that. mike
  21. Sure appreciate the heads up on that parts yard. I'll sure give them a call tomorrow. Don't think i'll be farming anything out again. Makes me alittle gun shy. If they have what I need then i'm sure i'll be going there soon. Thanks mike
  22. Would ya happen to have another good air horn that has twin bells for my B. I sent them out to a guy that calls himself the Air Horn Doctor. He want answer his e-mails etc. etc. I would like the original kind of set up so I don't have to modify holes. mike
  23. Mark, I'm glad you all have a good VISION. Hey b watchin tha mail box.....b sendin some TN treats soon before Xmas. mike
  24. Hey Paul, Actually no.....Thunder Valley is up in the eastern corner of our state and about 400 miles. That is Bristol, TN. I've been there back in 1990. I went to an IHRA event just to see the most impressive racer that I liked very much. Mr. Ronnie Sox with his red, white and blue 64 Comet with a 707 ci Sonnie Yates motor, running Funny Car size tires and a 3 speed trans. running a consistent 4.01 clock @ 207 mph. I miss his presence on the track. I have him taped on VHS in 1990. I hope someone has put his cars in a museum somewhere. mike
  25. Hey Joe, Glad you mentioned that event. Do you recall when and what time it happens? I'm about an hour south of bowlingreen, KY. Have flown into BWG many times, day and night. Is a Class D airspace, so we have to call them on the radio first before busting into thier airspace about 10 miles out. mike
