  2. Yea Mark, I do believe your talkin now. I just wonder if Barry can have them chromed at a decent cost to us. If so i'd try to buy more than two. mike
  3. Hey hatcity, This one has too many curves. If ya go too fast ya might run off and tare up something. I'd stay with tha Mack cause at least it has some brakes you can apply. Tha Mack is bigger and will take lots more punishment. It also will still look good after 40 years with it. Should I say more? mike
  4. Fella's I knew he would not be eatin on anything else tonight. Too heavy on his stomach, this late. mike
  5. Rob, Did ya ever get tha roof finished on one of the R's ya got? Never saw the finished product, only saw the photo's of you cutting the roof apart and rain gutters. I sure hope momma is proud of her boy with all that work done today. What, with the arms swollen and aching tonight, how are you going to perform the late-night duties with momma? Well it is a long weekend. Ya got lucky there. Poor Momma! mike
  6. Welcome to BMT and your Mack F Model looks good with nice red graphics. mike
  7. Hey Mark, You better hurry and call randyp. He's missed ya so bad. I think the rain we are getting tonight is randyp's tears. Welcome Home mike
  8. I'll try and send you the website https://www.bendix.com and try lookink for the airbrake section. I hope this helps you. mike
  9. This is the driver side vent. The right side vent was partially open, so I decided to fold a piece of metal and stick it in the window so it would stay closed. It works great. That was when the truck was outside, but covered up with a tarp and bungee cords. I did not want water dripping in all the time it was outside. I want to restore my vent windows to original condition if possible. It seems funny that these vent windows were chromed, and Mack did not put a piece of chrome across the windshield rubber. That looks good to me on the 50's and 60's vehicles. Good luck with yours! mike
  10. If you don't mind me chiming in on the subject. I have seen this happen to the old Cracker Box GMC's with Detroit Diesels. What is the fix with this setup? Will the spring weights need replacement or adjustment? mike
  11. I'll see if I can download these here on the site. I hope this helps ya. mike
  12. Well i'll try.........I guess.......it'll cost big time, ya know. I might have ta ask for some info from ya sometime. I know how hard that can be. mike
  13. Just wondered if you ducked before tha bullit came through the window in tha first photo? I take it that you were not interested in having the vent wndow chromed before the glass shop installed it? Anyway glad ya got it fixed so rain won't rot the cab further. A little duct tape would have fixed it fine without tha major expense. Thats tha way we do everything down here. JUST MESSING WITH YAW LOL mike
  14. I found out today there is a Fastenal within 5 miles from tha house. I'll take my vent and show them what i'm working with and see if they can suggest which rivet to use in the stainless variety they have. Many thanks mike
  15. Hey Patrick, glad to see such a beautful B Model get it's day in the paper and the recognition it long deserves. I'm also glad your dad is there to help and enjoy it with you. Many happy returns! mike
  16. Hey Joe, Rob always tells tha truth. He maybe kin folk to George Washington. mike
  17. I have examined my vent windows, and have noticed the great need for rubber replacement and re-chromeing. I also noticed the frame around the vent windows are braded and will have to be ground down to separate. Note: not all brads need to be ground off. Also the vent window pivots with a special brad that will allow the vent window to swivel. My question is, what can be used to be a replacement for the brad that swivels? This part is chrome also, and has to be separated to be chromed. I really want it to look original without using a screw for the swivel mount. It has to move back and forth when the vent window is opened and closed. I carried one of my windows to the chrome shop and to a friends Body Shop and they didn't have a solution. Your advice is needed. mike
  18. Now that is different. I was told to use alcohol, pour it into the horn button because people will put silicone sealer inside the button so the button does not rattle. Guess what alcohol will do to the rubber prongs and old age does it also? mike
  19. Barry from WATTS posted this interior color in the WIKI section of this site. Scroll down and its toward the bottom. Yes companies would paint the Macks any color that suited them. The Green color Is: Omni (PPG) Acrylic Enamel #MAE 45735 Profit Reading # 1335 Original Kirker Paint # 812 or (812A) Hope this helps! mike

  21. I am at this stage also. But will have the channels chromed first before I put expensive parts back together on top of now rusty chrome parts. Yes Barry and Tracy sell all the parts you will need. Regards mike
  22. Hey Thad, Here is another one for you to take home. Should not hurt the pocketbook as bad. Looks good mike
  23. Joe, that is what I call FORTUNATE. Your rite about a house of that vintage, it is well seasoned by now. I figured the mice may have got to some wiring and caused an arc. I believe i'd have to take the rest of the week off and have some cold brew. mike
