  1. The Linden Hall Class of 2015 will be selling sub meals again this year. More info to follow!!
  2. Trucks should be there before 9:30. The event is scheduled 10 - 4.
  3. Who is planning on attending Power Day at the former Mack Powertrain facility in Hagerstown, Md this Saturday September 21st? The weather is looking sketchy at this point but I will attend even if it is with my car. This is an attempt at recreating the former Bulldog Round-up that was great years ago. This year, only Mack and Volvo trucks are welcomed. There are many other events happening in my area that have cut down on people being able to attend. Doug
  4. There is usually a tent with tables and chairs for people to rest. If for some reason that would not happen this year, there are many places for one to sit and take a break.
  5. They were the "Legend" trucks. They were available in Red, Green, Blue and Black. They did include the gold dog on the side of the hood along with decals designating the legend package. The seats were embroidered as well.
  6. Yes, they are fading a bit. I was told they are quite a conversation piece when prospective customers are driving the track. I guess they will have to be refreshed this year at Mack Trucktoberfest...
  7. Thanks! The air did whistle when being sucked through the cab.
  8. The only Mack that drew air through the cab was a G. There were different configurations with the actual intake. The early G's had a louvered panel aft of the drivers door that pulled air in, it also pulled all of the dust, water, mud, road spray and other contaminants into the air intake. The fix for that was to pull air through a roof mounted intake, down through the side wall structure and into the air cleaner. My G still has the roof mounted intake but is it not hooked up, maybe it will be again someday. For now it draws from under the cab at the rear of the engine.
  9. This show is 10 miles from my house and I have never attended. I guess one of these years I will have to find out when it is and try to get there.
  10. The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Antique Truck Club of America will have their Truckin' Nuts shirts for sale. This year the ATCA Central PA chapter is assisting with Mack Days, If you are interested in volunteering any of your time for parking, registration or clean-up, just let me know. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. This is the 23rd annual Mack Days Meet at Gerhart Equipment, we all a great deal to the creators of the event and to Mr. Gerhart and all who have given us the opportunity to congregate at such a beautiful facility for a fantastic event!
  11. Check to see what the Mack dealer has. There are variations in those bumpers. EX: driving light holes. They are expensive from Mack but I haven't seen a good alternative.
  12. It was a combination sale. The collections of several individuals were sold. The first of the stuff was what I could afford, it was box lots of nice Mack and other truck brand stuff. The second part of the sale was mainly a toy collection with other Mack stuff squeezed in. I had to stay most of the day to ultimately not be able to afford what I was interested in. I guess that is why I do not like auctions.
  13. Here are a few of the items that I brought home from an auction last weekend. A bingo plate, a few mugs, a D-model half dog clock, a few puzzles and a few trucks like this Corgi R-model with the crane.
  14. I have used Virgo stuff as well. Welcome
  15. Nice photos, and great people. They put on a wonderful show at a really nice place.
  16. Who are those guys? I know nothing!
  17. Having a way to donate online is a great idea. If we can get it set-up it could make donating easier for everyone. It is the computer age, I guess we need to catch up. Thanks, Doug
  18. I can do the same if something falls through, just let me know. I will be with Don tomorrow at Maple Grove and will discuss this situation. At our next board meeting I will raise the question about creating an online method for contributions. Doug
  19. I will be at Maple Grove. The Keystone Chapter show is a nice show at a neat amusement park. I have been there several time and need to get back one of these years. If you are local I suggest you attend.
  20. BE CAREFUL! I am friends with Farmer52 and the owner of the towing company, both are great people. I am not sure what has affected Ken's opinion and that is not important to each one of us making our own determinations. If you do go to visit I urge you to go with a purpose as there has been an issue with vandalism and theft. Remember, trespassing is illegal and just not the right way to go about things. We all have an appreciation of old trucks, especially Macks.
  21. I believe a good time was had by all! I got word today that the New Jersey boys became rather fond of the place and are looking forward to another visit. How about Friday, October 25, 2013? The night before Mack Trucktoberfest 2013!
  22. Hey BMT'ers, I got home about 2pm on Sunday, got most everything unloaded and somewhat put away. After the rainstorm, I mowed the grass and got everything bundled up because I had to go to Erie for a meeting. I just got back and am going through websites and e-mails. The show ended up being pretty dang good! Thanks to everyone who shared their time with us. We do what we can to improve the show every year and this year was no exception. Although the rain dampened the ground, everyone seemed to have a good time. The ATCA Family Reunion was well attended and a success. Next year we will make some changes that will benefit those who call in to register. Be sure to watch Double Clutch for the latest news. I am going to bed! Doug
  23. Awwww Shucks... I thank you for you comments. The ATCA is full of fantastic members that will typically go above and beyond to lend assistance. It just so happens that you got directed to me. I was glad to be able to help. There are many similar stories that circulate around the ATCA National Meet every year. One I heard this weekend from an ATCA convert was a couple of years old. He was at the show and was out of fuel. One of the local ATCA members ran him for fuel, primed it and got it started again. He was blown away by the hospitality. I am thrilled to have my wife, Vickey and our daughter, Erica at the show. They have a good time selling the merchandise and meeting all of the people that know me. I always regret not getting to speak to everyone but, there were just a few things that needed attention... Thanks for the kind words.
