  1. Due to the tight constrains of the park, especially this year having to hold trailers on site again, there is no public parking in the park. I suggest the fire company across route 100 or the boy scout parking behind the park. Getting the G ready to roll!
  2. I am beat already! We laid the lines today, prepped the area for the ATCA Family Reunion, processed door prizes and overall had a great day. I can hardly wait until tomorrow...
  3. I am glad you ended up with his G. it would have been neat to have several G's at Macungie this year, I guess we will have to arrange that another time. Doug
  4. If you can keep it at the hotel, it may be beneficial. When forced to use the park grounds, we always get tight on space. Thanks, Doug
  5. Mack Days at Gerhart Equipment is always the first Saturday of October. Friday was added over the past few years due to people coming early and the addition of the Mack Brothers Clam Bake Re-enactment on Friday evening. This is a great event and I urge all truck enthusiasts to get there, especially the Mack fans.
  6. The Mack factory and the Mack Customer Center will be open on Friday and Saturday. A shuttle bus will transport you from the ATCA National Meet to the plant and museum on Saturday. The Museum is open weekdays normally. Mack certainly does what is necessary to appease our members. I guess it is a two way street, we do what we can to help out Mack Trucks. Getting close, things are coming together, SEE YOU THERE! Doug
  7. Trailers will be parked on the soccer field in the back and across Lehigh St by the tracks. All of this pending the weather. The Tyler Pipe lot was overtaken by our largest supporter. Good for them, bad for us. Doug
  8. We should be ready to accept trucks on Thursday. We may not be ready to put trucks on the field until after noon, but we can get you staged. Doug
  9. I believe all of those trucks were scrapped due to pressure from the municipality it was in.
  10. Everything you need to know about the ATCA National Meet at Macungie is at the following link: http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/24768-2012-atca-national-meet/page__fromsearch__1
  11. Mike, The Yellow G is the one Harry had. When I first saw the yellow one in Virginia I thought it looked familiar. I went through some pictures and verified that it is the one from Harry. It was a nice barn find, as if it was just off the road truck when Harry got it. I think it is a 1959, it had the intake louvers on the side of the cab but it has been converted to an intake stack. Jones had been frequenting many auctions in the area buying up some of the nice restored trucks for their museum. I haven't had the opportunity to meet him yet but several of my friends have and they have nice words about him. Doug
  12. If you are going to take a picture of every Mack, you had better bring an extra battery and photo card!
  13. From the album: MH MAGNUMS

The second one located, by an interesting chain of events.

  15. No they are not, many differences between the two.
  16. The Mack emblem for the radiator is the same one as a G, N and W model. Not necessarily the easiest part to find. I may have one that is usable but not in the best condition. The C-600 emblems are rare as well. I don't recall if they were available from Phil Bumgardner or not. I do have one and have the ability to cast in resin and have chromed if nothing else pans out.
  17. All the info you need is at this link. http://www.bigmacktr...646#entry117646
  18. All of the ATCA National Meet info is available in Double Clutch, the ATCA magazine. Membership not only gets you Double Clutch Magazine, it gets you registration discounts for the National Meet. The registration form is at this link: http://www.antiquetruckclub.org/docs/macungie2012.pdf More information is available at: http://www.antiquetruckclubofamerica.org The Macungie show is the Antique Truck Club of America annual event. The ATCA simply rents the park to hold the show, Macungie Park is simply the location and has nothing to do with the planning or support of the show. Many people come to the show and do not know that the ATCA is the host. Just wanted to let you folks know that "The Greatest Antique Truck Show in the World" is compliments of the Antique Truck Club of America.
  19. Check out the ATCA National Meet post for more info.
  20. Ebay seems to be the best place to find them. It is a great book on the history of Mack. The first edition (hardcover) covers through the early 1970's and the second edition (paperback w/Superliner) covers through the late 1970's. The model production numbers in the back are worth the price.
  21. I believe an F was the only one to use that emblem. I can't imagine many around. Keep checking ebay.
