  1. Made a rapid run to South Carolina to deliver the B to Rich. Then Daryl and I ran over into NC to check out an E-9 MH. I didn't get any pictures of loading and such because it was after dark before the deal was made.
  2. Every antique truck enthusiast should come to the Antique Truck Club of America National Meet at Macungie. Once you get there it becomes extremely difficult to miss another. This will be my 20th year and I feel like a novice around the veterans. Friday evening in the field behind the combination truck area we hold the ATCA Family Reunion. More info will be available in Double Clutch and on the ATCA website. We have a great time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones every year. Can't wait to meet all of you. Doug
  3. Is the sleeper that was taken off still around? I'd be interested in it...
  4. Hi Darren, I am from west of Reading and we have a really good group of Antique Truck Nuts that belong to the Antique Truck Club of America that are local to you. I suppose you have been to our show at Macungie. Let me know what you are up to from time to time. We often have picture shows with Ronald Adams, when he brings crates of photos for us to peruse, it always ends up being a great time. Doug
  5. I've been seeing quite a few in the eastern part of PA. I saw a tri-axle dump getting off at Pine Grove the other day and I often see lowboy tractors on 81.
  6. I like the extra grille turned upside down. Thanks for keeping another one from the scrapper.
  7. The passing of our older friends has been a topic of discussion for several years. My cousin Chris has gone beyond expectation and has gathered groups of aging drivers to video tape their stories. It has been an awesome endeavor that will payoff many times over. I have lost several people recently that I wish I could have spent more time with. Just this week I purchased a digital audio recorder to collect some of the historic events that my friends have been involved in. Doug
  8. Good question! I can't say for sure if they will have photos of every dealer/branch but I would think they would have some. I suggest you contact the museum to be sure. If you have the name of the dealer/branch and location that may help. Doug
  9. I'll think on several of these. I should be able to pin some of this info down. I suggest you contact the Mack Museum, they should be able to pinpont these facts right down to the last serial numbers. Doug
  10. 865 V-8, 12 speed, 72" cab, factory heavy single rail,
  11. I have finally added photos of the F-model that was gathered up in December. V-8, 12 speed, 72" cab, heavy single rail. F-wrecker
  12. I located this thing last year and we went and gathered it up in December.
  13. I added a new album in My Gallery of gathering up a B today. Gathering up a B
  14. Daryl and I went today to gather up a B that I looked at yesterday.
  15. It certainly is a Diamond-T cabover crew cab. It was probably a utility company truck (phone, electric). I wonder if it has a rear view mirror (periscope) in the roof? (It kinda looks like it does.)
  16. The air shift can be modified to make the 7 into a 10. I have one in my '82 Superliner.
