  6. Proper Paint Design for Mack Pick-ups Here is the the official Mack Corporate mandate for how a dealer should piant their delivery vehicles. If you look closely the corporate design doesn't even follow their proper use of the Mack Logo. This was done years before the Mack Logo useage mandates were handed down, yea, that's it. 8. I got my stuff uploaded and even got the Photobucket thing figured out, I think. Check out the Wiki page. I uploaded a Clariben aftermarket hood brochure and Mack Trucks Corporate proper use of the Mack Trucks Logo. This should answer any questions that may have been raised in the discussion about which way the Dogs should face. It doesn't directly answer the question but, it does give the proper use info. Enjoy, Doug
  9. A friend locally has a couple of vehicles that he has made Detriot powered. A Chevy Blazer and a Buick Riveria. he has had each of them to Gerhart's All-Mack meet and I believe the ATCA National Meet at Macungie. If I can locate my photos I'll share them. He has done a spectacular job shoehorning the screamers in each. Doug
  10. This is one of the companies that manufactured tilting fiberglass hoods for converting blutterfly trucks to tilt hoods. As you can see they covered more than Mack Trucks.

  14. Proper use of the Mack Logo - 1974 As discussed several times here on the BMT discussion area. This is the corporate guidelines for proper use of the Mack Trucks logo. Mirror and mudflap mounting can be determined by these if you read between the lines, and speaking of the line. Stand at the end of the production line and see how they are installed at the factory. 16. No problem Barry! One problem I encountered was, I missed one page when I was posting, I couldn't rearrange the order of the them. I then deleted the ones that followed the one I missed, reposted them and the order got all messed up and I couldn't rearrange them. The other thing was I had to reduce the photos down so I could post them, the reduction I think was too much and made the photos illegible. Some of it may have been my stupidity. Doug
  17. I posted a copy of the Clariben hood aftermarket hood brochure on the Wiki pages. Clariben is the company that produced the fiberglass tilt hoods to convert B-models from butterfly hoods into tilt hoods. They also offered conversions for other makes as well. I know where a few of these hoods are, they looked better on some trucks than others.
  18. I posted the guidelines for the proper use of the Mack Trucks logo on the Wiki pages. I obtained a 1974 version and a 1985 version. Although it does not specifically address the proper mounting of the mirrors and mudflaps, it does however specify that all dogs must face forward on the truck. Check them out!
  19. I picked up 7 mugs yesterday at the All-Mack meet. The are commerative mugs compliments of Motor Wheel Corporation and feature a different truck make on each mug. I was wondering how many different ones were made. The only one that I figure I don't have is an International. If anyone has or remembers these let me know if there were any additional ones that I am not aware of. I got Mack, Chevrolet, GMC, White, Freightliner, Kenworth and Peterbilt. Thanks, Doug
  20. What a great time, there was a great turnout and the weather was simply fantastic. I didn't get a count of trucks but the field was approaching capacity. The sad thing is that this is one of the last shows of the year for us here in PA, but what a way to wrap up the year. If you were there I know you enjoyed it, if you weren't make plans for next year! Doug
  21. Great show, I wish I could have been able to spend a little more time there. Congratulations on a great show. I know I'm looking forward to the next one. Doug
  22. Barry, What does the emblem on the hood have on it? It is only on the left side, I hadn't see that one yet. Doug
  23. Several years ago I got to see the official Mack directive on how the Mack Logo should be displayed. I don't remember that it specifically handed down the directive for the mirrors and mudflaps. It did however specify that the dog should always be facing a certain direction on print items, and gave exceptions and instructions when it was used in conjunction with other logos and such. I will see if I can get my hands on a copy of the directive and post it for everyone to see. My belief is that the mirror dogs should face toward the cab, left mirror facing forward, right mirror facing forward as the mirrors are angled for the driver to see rearward. The mudflap logos should face one another, I think the directive stated that when a left and right facing dog were used with one another they should faced each other. I'll let you know what I come up with. Doug
