  1. It is that time again, I'll be making my way to the National Pike show in Brownsville, PA this weekend. Not only are there trucks, there is construction equipment (actually digging), cars, tractors, threshing, hit & miss, steam tractors, motorcycles, garden tractors, and a flea market. This is all held on a wooded hilltop with great people and good food. Look it up on the web, www.nationalpike.com Hope to see you there! Doug
  2. Mack did not offer this type of sleeper arrangement on the CH style cab. It is a shame, it does make a nice looking truck. I am a little concerned with the sleeper not being wider than the cab, I'd have to sleep with my knees bent. Doug
  3. We've been concerned about the changes so much we forgot the most important part. THANK YOU, FOR MAKING THE 2006 ATCA NATIONAL MEET SUCH A GREAT SUCCESS!! Without you the park would be empty, you are the reason our show was so good! Thanks to those of you who brought trucks and to those of you who were there just to take everything in! We hope to see all of you next year!
  4. Sorry you missed the ATCA National Meet at Macungie! It was a DOOZIE! Check out the discussion at www.antiquetruckclubofamerica.org The discussion board has additional photos attached to the topic 2006 Macungie show. The All- meet at Gerharts in Lititz is a great way to wrap up the show season here in PA. The attendance is typically between 120 and 150 trucks. It is my second favorite show of the year! Doug
  5. I may have one available, I will verify if it is spoken for or not and let you know. Doug
  6. All of the info for the show can be found at www.antiquetruckclubofamerica.org. Anyone whoe lives within five hours of Allentown and is interested in old trucks should have to decide whether to go or not,the choice is made, You live too close to miss it! Today I finally determined what trucks I'm taking unless I change my mind before Thursday morning. See you there! Doug
  7. We hope to see all of you Enthusiasts there! The final plans are being discussed, much of the balance of the preparation for the Meet will have to take place when we arrive there next week. The excitement is building, I am having trouble containing myself! The facilities tour will take place on Saturday June 17th. There will be a bus transporting visitors from the Walnut Street side of the show field to the Macungie Facility. With the number of preregistered trucks, flea-market vendors, truck corral spots and campers it is looking to be yet another fantastic ATCA National Meet! I'm trying to figure out what trucks I am taking, unfortunately I can only drive 1 at a time. I invite you to look me up at the show, say hello and shoot the bull about our great hobby! Doug
  8. Where are you located? I think I can come up with some good used windshields for you. Doug Located in south central PA.
  9. I am familiar with them, the recently did work on an RD for me that was hit in the front. There are alot of people I deal with that only with use them! Doug
  10. Yep, I got word today when I stopped at the Museum. that buys me a little more time to make sure all of the paperwork is in order! Doug
  11. As it looks now, I will be at WHQ for the "Road Trip". I will certainly have a camera with me and will get photos to share. Doug

  13. It would be great to have it as a summer home/historical spot. I agree it would be great if a Mack enthusiast would buy the place. Time will tell! I forwarded the photos to the Mack Museum for the files. Doug
  14. That is the Chalmers Collection, there are a few more there as well!

  16. I stopped by the homestead in Mount Cobb, PA. This is the farm where the brothers were born & raised. I have admired it for years and finally took the time to stop and take some pictures. I have included one here and added several to my gallery. I hope you enjoy! Doug
  17. The early C model bus used a bright slightly diamond shaped emblem with a script in black in the center. How about the early B hood side emblem, it was the shape of a trapazoid to mimic the AC style hood from the front. It was a brass surround with black inlay with gold script. Honorable mention includes the early L and F hood side emblem. The script cut from a steel sheet and chromed. These were replaced by the formed script used through the mid '60's. Any more? I can post photos of most of these if there is an interest. Doug
  18. I was waiting for someone to mention the off road front emblem. They were only used on the prototype trucks used in the photos. I looked into them and couldn't verify any production trucks with them factory mounted. off-highway used the chrome trapazoid with black R-model style Mack script on the top of the grille shell. As long as we are talking off-highway: off-highway trucks used a large version of the R-model type script cut from flat aluminum on the sides of the hood. These were only used on off-highway trucks.
