  1. I think that is a gas tank for a cab heater mounted on the back of the cab. The factory heater didn't keep things very warm.
  2. What year is it supposed to be? I would guess a late '61 or '62. I agree with Mike, the bunk does look small, the vent appears to be in the standard position but the distance to the back of the cab is short. All of the G's except for the 1959 models with the louvered had an left compartment, yours does not. I attached a picture of one of mine, the distance to the back of the cab is evident. The interior photo really tells the tale. This is the first one like that I have seen and I have seen a bunch. I am interested to see the info from the Mack Museum on the G77. Again, Great score!
  3. Good score! Send pics please..
  4. It is looking to be a great show. We are recreating the Superliner row or rows again this year. There will be many other highlights this year.
  5. To celebrate the 25th year for Mack Day at Gerhart Equipment, we will have shirts available featuring several of Roger Gerhart's Mack Trucks. We will have a limited quantity of these shirts available. Be sure to purchase the shirts when you arrive so you don't miss out. The show is Oct 3 & 4 in Lititz, PA. Please refer to the flyer for additional show information.
  6. There are four seats open, there's would typically be the but we had a resignation due to health problems.
  7. Right back at you, I plan on voting for you many times over the next few years Mike!
  8. There are not many choices at this time for antique truck insurance. Check with your local agent that you have your auto insurance with, Gulfways Insurers is where I have several of mine insured. I have the others through the agent JC Taylor but unless you already have a policy with them they won't write trucks.
  9. Whoa!!! With you using words like rank and file it makes this seem to serious! We all are a part of the hobby, a hobby is participated in for fun. When it isn't for fun anymore it becomes a business, we don't want that do we? Each and every member of the ATCA board is doing this for the love of the hobby, we don't get paid, we get no perks, we do it for the fun of it. Every endeavor that we try is simply to make the club better for the members, board members included. I have been a part of different organizations over the years, I have been very happy with the ATCA and hope all of you are as well. Each of us is a recruiter for the ATCA, make sure you spread the word about how you feel about the club and how we have fun with our hobby. Doug
  10. Does it matter that I've been on the board since 2005. I consider myself one of the BMTers.
  11. This is about the best route from from I-81. Exit 85 on I-81 - Route 934 south to route 322 below Annville Route 322 east to route 501 Route 501 south to Newport Rd (left at Sheetz) Newport Rd to Brunnerville Rd (left at first traffic light) Brunnerville Rd north approximately 3/4 mile Gerhart Equipment on Left http://www.bing.com/maps/#Y3A9NDAuMzk5MjU0fi03Ni41MjExOTImbHZsPTEyJnN0eT1yJnJ0cD1wb3MuNDAuNDE0NDA2Xy03Ni41ODEzMjhfX19fZV9+cG9zLjQwLjE3NTM2NV8tNzYuMjkyODI3XzkxMCUyMEJydW5uZXJ2aWxsZSUyMFJkJTJDJTIwV2Fyd2ljayUyMFRvd25zaGlwJTJDJTIwUEElMjAxNzU0M19fX2VfJm1vZGU9RCZydG9wPTB+MH4wfg==
  12. It is an an ED chassis. They made several versions of the stepvan / delivery van type truck. They made 290 from 1940-1942. I am not sure of many still out there. Maybe someone else can offer up some info.
  13. I got one, it really covers the NO series well.
  14. The Mack Brothers Clam Bake works the same way as the ATCA Family Reunion at Macungie, it is by donation. We simply ask that you donate what you would have paid for a similar high quality, all you care to eat feast like we strive to offer. The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the ATCA takes pride in our clambakes and it appears as if everyone likes them. There will be door prizes and along with a cash prize awarded if you are interested in participating in the drawing. Fortunately we have been able to cover costs nearly every year this event has been held. We try to make it a fun evening for everyone so you don't have to go away from the show and your Mack Truck friends for dinner and entertainment. * I appreciate the kind work of appreciation, I enjoy what I do or I wouldn't do it. In order to keep this hobby alive, we all need to contribute in some way. I am fortunate to be able to help with several of the greatest antique truck shows in the world, volunteer at and offer assistance to a spectacular historical truck museum and receive support from my fellow antique truck enthusiasts / friends. Without all of the support I get from my friends and family, I wouldn't be able to be so involved. Thanks for all of your support. Doug
  15. The Friday evening Mack Brothers Clam Bake Re-inactment is being planned. If you haven't attended before and would like to, please let me know so we can order enough food. Thanks, Doug
  16. The volleyball schedule has interfered with a few things this year. If anything changes, we will be there. Vickey and Erica seem to like the BMT folks for some reason...
  17. It does not look as if I will be able to meet the gang this year. My daughter has a volleyball game near Reading that I will be going to late in the afternoon. If anything changes I will let you know.
  18. There is a Quality Inn - Lantern Lodge here in Myerstown at the intersection of 501 and 422 that a few of the guys are staying at. It is about 20 miles from the show, there is a bar at the hotel and within walking distance of quite a few restaurants. I'm glad you can make it Mackdaddy. I do understand that you are not able to bring a truck.
  19. It is less that one month until the 25th Anniversary of Mack Day at Gerhart Equipment in Lititz, PA. The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of ATCA will be assisting with the event. We always welcome a helping hand, so if you could spare a few minutes to volunteer, please let me know. If you are attending Mack Trucktoberfest, arrangements can be made for truck parking for the week in between. There are several secure locations that have been made available. Please inquire for more information. Thanks, Doug
  20. Cool trip, thanks for posting photos. I wish you well with this project.
  21. If you are interested in attending, you must register. There is a limit on the number of attendees. This year it is one week prior to Mack Day at Gerhart Equipment in Lititz. If you are interested, you may make arrangements to park your trucks at the MCC or several alternate locations for the week in between these two fantastic events.
  22. I have been busy since and have not posted any photos. I will get some on when I get a chance. Thanks for sharing these. I crossed the finish line before you when we went down the track, does that mean I won?
  23. I do, but I will see if anyone else has a guess.
  24. No, the Magnum was not available in Australia. I think there is one there and now this one is on it's way.
  25. Yep, I am a fan. My '89 with my friends B at my place.
