  1. Looks like a step plate from a Mack fire truck. Wear in the middle looks like bolt holes for equipment holder of some sort.
  2. I worked my 24 hour shift on Sunday and had to work a 10 on Monday due to a call off. We moved the 700 pounder Monday and our stupid dispatch said that only 2 ambulances could go because of call volume. I argued my best as a lieutenant but they said no. So I told them that my rig would be on the air mobile and I went anyways. I had to help the crew and bonehead dispatch was none the wiser. We have been interviewing new people and the boo-boo bus company is about to double in size in my area. Thanks for the offer Rob but I will be able to keep Faith at the new place just outside. I am working on the plan for a shelter frame made of 3/4" PVC pipe. I want to keep it cheap and durable. Have had ZERO time to work on anything let alone pack stuff. We did get to paint the ceiling in two of the rooms at the new place and I replaced the breaker box. The damn thing had only a few spaces and they were all taken. We needed to add for the oven and had no other choice.
  3. Hasen't been anything lately for me to commont on without looking like an idiot. Been busy with the lieutenant promotion and 2 meetings this week. I will have in 83 hours this week. The layoff from East Mfg. really hurt us and we are losing the house. Been working on the 55 Dodge ambulance and my GMC pickup so Faith is outside for a little bit. We are moving in about a month so we are getting ready for that also. Found a place in Brewster that is smaller, cheaper, and has NO GARAGE!!! DAMN!!! The ambulance owner found a place for it so it needs to be running. Will the Detroit be able to run 2 compresssors to keep the seat base inflated? Does firestone make a bag for that or are you using a modified cutoff? We will be moving a 700 pounder from one nursing home to another sometime next week. Hope it's not on my shift.
  4. I see that you aquired another airride seat. is it for the riding mower?
  5. Welcome aboard!! Please post any pics that you have. They can be about anything because we are equal opportunity harassers!
  6. Wasn't that last one from Illinois?
  7. Does PACCAR stand for; Please Add Chrome Cummins And Rebuild?
  8. Years ago I had to deliver a travel trailer to a campground west of you. I think it was called Rambling Pines. Dropped it off in January of '94 and got out of town in time for a huge snow storm to start. Stopped in Breezewood Pa. for a few hours then followed a gang of plow trucks across the pike to my place in Ohio. Welcome aboard.
  9. That B pickup has Ohio tags on it. Did it say whereabouts on the E-Bay listing?
  10. Thanks for the link. I am waiting on a reply.

  11. Yep, industrial brown. If I was going to recover a seat I would use a product called Allante. It is a soft vinyl that looks like leather. It was used in boats as it is UV stable, cleans easily, looks great, and feels like leather. Pick a color that you are happy with. I have a gray leather bench from a Caravan in my Mack. It doesn't look too outta place but was cheap and easy and very comfortable.
  12. Hope it isn't too complicated. I would like to do it soon as I may need to use her in October. Thanks.
  13. Nawww, I got the video shot first! Still trying to figure out how to save it and put into Photobucket. Watched it on the big screen though!
  14. Chlorine. I found this out when I put my pool chlorinator in the garage for winter. Pulled the lid off and let it sit. I've heard about the Irish Spring also. Moth balls might work but you'll kill the moth removing them!
  15. I love the look of that dog dancing on the hood of my truck.
  16. Had her out and shot some video. Got home and noticed a puddle under her. Fuel is leaking from the pump. Does anybody know if a rebuild is available from NAPA? Icould get one from Chalmers but thought I'd ask here first.
  17. How do you re-hydrate the flat ones? The natural juice is squeezed out by cars and fake gravy aint the same.
  18. Chalmers from Pa. is probably the best resource for that stuff. No matter what Rob says my truck is not available for parts!!!!
  19. Budd built cabs for years. The most common was the Furd cabover C series. Mack also used this cab and it looked like a Furd with a Bulldog on the nose. You could also get a Chrysler Hemi gas engine as an option in a Mack! I had to drive one of those Renault cabbed volvo FE cabovers once and it was guttless junk. Rode like a springboard and rattled worse than the loose junk in Rob's head!
  20. A lot of older trucks used the one piece column-box combo. My 47 PowerWagon is like that and so is the A model. You have to pull the cab off over it. They were assembled that way. Good luck and be very carefull safety wise.
  21. Welcome to the zoo!!
  22. Boo-Boo bus appointed a new lieutenant for Akron & Canton areas. They don't know what is in store when a "Lower level disturbance" occurs in the community bathroom!
  23. Negative sir, just offering your service to someone like an inlaw would do.
  24. If you need B parts ask Otherdog, Rob, or Larry. They all have neglected B's that they will part out for a small price! Welcome aboard. Is your gasser an OHV or a real engine ( FLATHEADS FOREVER!!! )
  25. Naw you don't need to. Rob is the only one that needs to call ahead so I can stock up on food, snacks, new linens, and sofa reinforcements.
