  1. I agree on the equipment that can earn their keep. I have a 1972 Sears 10hp that still mows great but she is semi-retired and is only used with the snowblower that I have for it ! My mower is a little bigger and is a hydro. It mows a lot faster and uses less gas 'cause of the OHV engine. Partner is JD all the way. She has a Deere tatoo on her leg and is planning a JD wedding in August. My wife even talked them into a wet t-shirt contest . It is a hog roast camp-out gatherin' with a hitchin' goin' on but I'm not alowed to bring guns!
  2. My redneck partner on the boo-boo truck said that looks fun except the "non-green" tractor ruined the picture !
  3. Checked mine, they haven't gotten to me!!!!!!
  4. Rob might have gotten enough fuel to come over to your place and get his needed B parts that you have
  5. Got 6 of the 8 loose today !! The top front ones are not moving. I am starting to round off the head but they haven't broke! Didn't use any heat, I just went from 1/4" breaker bar to a 3/8" bar and went SLOW. I think I'm gonna look for one of those bleeder extractor sockets while I'm at work on Monday. May just get a regular extractor socket and put a piece of hard wire in to prevent the crushing effect. Any advice on bleeding the booster? Is it like bleeding the wheel cylinder? I assume engine off is best.
  6. Stop bragging!!! I'm gettin hungry. I'll run up to the local hospital and get some donuts from the EMS room.
  7. Your truck is closer to me than Larry's. If you follow Pontius East and go past Duqette to the next street, Millrich, I'm on that street down on the right.
  8. I think she is adopted , looks nothing like Rob!!! DNA test!! DNA test!!! DNA test!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Lynn would sell my A in a freakin heartbeat!!!!!!! She says I love that truck more than her. I tell her no, who do I go to bed with every night? Her answer," If the garage was heated you would be out there!" She can't ride in Faith for more than 1 hour or her back is killing her. I replaced the hideous buckets with a nice leather bench from a Caravan, but that slammimg and pounding on bumps is too much for her.
  10. Hey slim, we have a bariatric cot at the boo-boo bus place that has a 1600lb capacity , so you're safe for a while . How is the bacon and cheese diet goin?
  11. Who was the model?
  12. Rob couldn't make it that far ! He cant even get a truck out of his driveway without runnin' out of fuel!
  13. What now Larry? Did you forget about me? If I come to the get together on the 26th I'll probably drive the Monte cause I don't think Faith will be ready by then . Farmer, where in Suffield is your iron? I live in Marlboro and work in the Canton area but I'm all over the road in the ambulance . Maybe I can spot your truck someday.
  14. Disconnect the line at the carb and see if you are getting fuel. It should be 4-5 psi at the carb. Make sure that the needle and seat are not stuck and that the float is free. The float lets fuel into the bowl where it is held till needed at the jets. Work your way back to the tank including the pump, filters, any bad hoses, kinked lines, etc. all the way to the tank. Take your seat out and remove the sending unit on top of the tank and be sure the dip-tube is not broke. It's a lot of stuff but it's all little things and wont take long, just frustrating.
  15. Why did Baker close? I remember that all their trucks were ultra-light units. Aluminum frames, fuel tanks, air tanks, wheels, and on and on. They even had air start so the truck only had one battery instead of four. They spec'd their East flatbeds light. Fewer crossmembers in some areas, super single tires, no spare, you get the idea. Sad to not see the green Baker Highway trucks on the road.
  16. Canton? I take it that you are talking about Adelmans. Did you try Sam Winer on Waterloo Rd. in Springfield Twp. They have some odd stuff. Also try R&R Mack on 224 by the Goodyear air dock. They have a bunch of middle-age Mack trucks in the back of their property.
  17. There is another pic of her in my gallery. I couldn't get it to resize, to quote Larry "damn computers!"
  18. Misleading ? Here? Anyway look in your local parts store for aircraft paint stripper
  19. The memorial service was on Saturday the 7th. The pastor John, is an old friend of mine. His dad ran a trucking company years ago and I remember when both of us had hair! My ex and I were there for the birth of their first child. My old boss at the funeral home was impressed with his sermon. All of the donations we received were enough to cover the funeral home expenses. In 6 to 8 weeks the coroner report will be done then we'll know definately what happened. Yes the little lamb is cradled in his arms, Isaiah 40:11. Thank you again to everyone.
  20. Definately a go/no-go on that pic. The one on the right is no good cause all the juice is gone! How ya spose ta make gravy? My dad would say "If it tastes like chicken, you cooked it like chicken, then why not eat the damn chicken and leave the others for people who appreciate it!!"
  21. Where ya gonna be?
  22. Sorry I haven't responded sooner, been a little busy. Her name is Ariel Parsons from Kent,Ohio. Tuesday the coroner released her and the wife and I went and picked her up. They were shocked that the grandparents were doing this and somewhat leary but we explained that we've done transports before, the only difference was this was our granddaughter. We took her in the car to the funeral home and got her cleaned up, dressed, and ready for my stepdaughter to see her before being creamated. She was in a white flowered sleeper with butterfly socks and a small white bonnett. We wrapped her in a pink flowered blanket and we spent about 1 hour with her. There were only the parents and grandparents present. We did this for a final goodbye. A memorial service is Saturday the 7th at Cox Funeral Home in Barberton, Ohio. Bill Cox is a former employer and a friend. He allowed us to have the funeral home that night all alone as he had other obligations. He is doing this for us at cost as he doesn't want to profit from us. I thank each and everyone for their prayers. I still have a 2 year-old grandson (her older brother) to love and hold. Hey Larry, a little weird to think of me being a grandpa!!!
  23. Worst I ever had in my 21+ years in EMS was Christmas Eve of 1994. We were called out to a 6 month old DOA and found out on the scene that the father had beat the kid to death. Luckily that SOB was cuffed in the back of a police car or he would have been next. Hugged our kids tight that year. Walked a few out of the ER swaddled in a blanket and carried in my arms as if they were sleeping, and nobody knew any different. My former boss is a funeral director so he is doing a service at cost. He said we (wife and I) could pick-up the baby for him since we are "authorized" by him. My current company will let me use an ambulance for the trip if I want.
