  1. From the album: Old iron

F500 that was given to me by the previous owner. I traded this for a 1947 Dodge 1 ton pickup that got stolen.
  2. cant get image!!!!!!!!!See the rest in my gallery.
  3. Some pics from around the area.
  4. Dan is a pretty cool guy . A few years ago he parked next to me at an antique tractor show in Dover,Ohio. The wife and I camped there and he was gratefull because he knew someone would be there all night with his truck. He was in and out all weekend and if I remember it was because his wife was ill. He did tell me though that his truck gets silly mileage on the highway , something like 30+ MPG if I 'member correctly. It sounded great, not loud, obnoxious, or clattery, just right . Weird hearing an oil burner in a pick-up of that era.
  5. Check out new pics in my gallery. This was sitting at LTV steel in Cleveland a few years back. It never goes on the road, just around the plant. Trailer says "CAP 220,000 lbs". I parked my Furd F450 Stupid Duty next to it to get an idea of the size.
  6. Next to a '95 Furd 450 Stupid Duty
  7. The best pick-up bed that I've ever seen on a "B" was from a late '60s till mid '70s Dodge stepside. They had the cool big round fenders that go sweet with the B lines. Even if you copied them to use on your longer frame they should be easy to roll out.
  8. My boss at my one part-time job just rolled his KW wrecker with a 40 ton capacity boom. The video is on you tube under "boss had a bad day". Watch the right side of the clip. It was taken from a cell phone so it is a little blurry.
  9. Yea cause we need truck #2 for the registry!
  10. All my truck had was the shaft and butterflies. There was nothing else when I got it. I took that stuff out because it was causing a terrible vacuum leak . I don't have any of those parts. . Ask Harvey Eckart, he is the firetruck guru .
  11. Im not that smart about the B's but the "40" in 46 is the weight class and because it is an even number that means it is a gas engine. Odd numbers are diesel.
  12. OK ANDY here ya go , 1951 A-30. Engine is a Mack Magnadyne EN 330, Flathead 6, 330 ci. Tranny is a 5 speed Fuller, direct in forth. Mack rearend with 6:86/1 gears. Has 9:00X20 tires. Very low miles . Former fire truck that now sports a 12' flatbed. Chassis no: A30H-2355. My e-mail is, ilovebigdog@aol.com. Phone is 330-354-9775.
  13. My '51 A-30 has the EN330 engine and has a Zenith. Rebuild kits are available at NAPA. As far as a govener, ?????????????? its anyones guess. My truck was a former fire truck and it had a butterfly thingy that is between the carb and manifold and was the govener. If she over-revved it would close off. I took the butterflies and the shaft out of it and closed the hole up with JB Weld. There was nothing attached to it so I don't know how it was hooked up to regulate RPM's
