    Compared to an excavator and skid steer, I've always thought a rubber tired backhoe was a handjob. But the price sure was right. You'll have a big grin on your face every time you turn the key.

    The 52" is not a problem until you hook to a 13'-6" trailer that's made to ride on a 48" fifth wheel. Then you will learn to notice those yellow signs that give you the clearance under bridges.

After looking at the returns from the elections, it doesn't look good for those of you in states that are run by puppets that are owned by the unions. Eg NY and CA. No one learned anything from round one with Commo and Brown, they just signed up for round two. You know what they say about those who don't learn from history. Good luck.

    Sounds like your ok with the drive train. It's a good spec for light duty. We had one with wedge brake and you had to depend on the trailer brakes to get it stopped. Check the steps. They usually break and are hard to find. Most have been repaired. At age 25 the chrome is coming off the plastic grill and those pieces are also getting scarce. We have parted out some MH's and may have what you need.

    A '85 should have come with a E6 not a E7. And it could be either a 2 or 4 valve. I've purchased 3 good single axle MH tractors from $500 to $3000.

    Thad, Some rental stores that rent equipment like skid steers often have trailers for rent to move a piece of equipment that you rent. You may find one that will rent just the trailer.
