HELLO, MY NAME IS MARCEL AND I JUST GOT REGISTERED. I HAVE OWNED A 1963 MACK B 61 FOR AROUND 6 MONTHS. I BOUGHT IT WITH A 1946 ROGERS LOW BOY EQUIPMENT TRAILER. I AM IN THE POSITION TO SELL IT BUT HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO GO TO POST THAT ON THIS SITE. I AM GOING TO LOOK AROUND A BIT MORE BUT THIS INTRO FORUM CAME UP SO I THOUGHT I WOULD AT LEAST MENTION THAT I HAVE IT FOR SALE. DON'T HAVE PICTURES RIGHT AT THE MOMENT BUT CAN IN A DAY OR 2.

FEELS GOOD TO BE AMONG PEOPLE WHO KNOW AND LOVE THIS BULL DOGGED BEAST.

:SMOKIE-RT:

I DO MEAN I AM WANTING TO SELL THE TRAILER , NOT MY B MACK. I WOULD LIKE TO USE THE MONEY TO CONTINUE FIXING THE B MACK.

Hey Little Joe, welcome to the site! We do have a forum under the classified section covering "for sale" items...feel free to post description and pics there...plenty of folks here that might want to adopt a vintage bulldog. If you need help, just give me a holler...

THANKS BARRY. I AM LEARNING MORE AND MORE EACH DAY. TODAY I FOUND OUT SOMETHING THAT I HAVE THOUGHT ALL MY LIFE. IF YOU EVER GET THE CHANCE TO BUY A MACK B MODEL AND DO, DON'T EVER THINK OF LETTING IT OUT OF YOUR HANDS, LOL

I DID HAVE ONE OFFER ON IT FROM A MEMBER BUT I AM HESITANT. I DID FIND THE "FOR SALE" FORUM.

IT WOULD HAVE BIT ME HAD IT BEEN A SNAKE, LOL

MY STORY GOES A LITTLE DEEPEER THAN JUST FINDING A MACK AND BUYING IT THOUGH. SINCE I THINK THAT THIS IS THE FORUM FOR IT I WILL EXPLAIN.

MY GRANDFATHER, FATHER, UNCLE, SEVERAL COUSINS AND EVEN A COUPLE IN LAWS ALL DRIVE OR HAVE DRIVEN IF NOT ALL OF THEIR LIVES, AT LEAST A GOOD DEAL.

THE BIGGEST MILEAGE TOTALLERS WOULD BE MY GRANDFATHER AND FATHER.

MY FATHER DROVE 30 YEARS FOR U.P.S AND RETIRED BACK IN 2000. HE MADE USA TODAY 5 TIMES FOR THE TOP 100 SAFE DRIVERS IN THE WORLD THAT DROVE FOR U.P.S. 30 YEARS ACCIDENT FREE. AND MOST OF THAT WAS DONE IN A MACK.

MY GRANDFATHER THOUGH, IS WHAT STARTED THE CRAZE FOR A B MODEL. I AM NOT SURE WHAT YEAR TRUCK HE HAD OR WHAT YEAR THE PICTURE OF HIM STANDING IN FRONT OF IT WAS TAKEN, BUT I DO KNOW THAT THE FIRST TIME I SAW IT I WANTED ONE.

WHEN I WAS 7 YEARS OLD, MY GRANDMOTHER AND I WERE DIGGING THROUGH SOME OLD BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOS AND CAME ACROSS A BOX OF "BIG RIG" PICTURES. AFTER FILING THROUGH SEVERAL INTERNATIONAL, FREIGHTLINERS, KENWORTH, PETES, AND OTHER VARIOUS SMALL TIME RIGS, WE CAME TO A PICTURE OF GRANDPAW LEANING AGAINST THE NOSE OF A BIG OL TRUCK WITH A CHROME BULLDOG ON THE HOOD. MY FIRST REACTION WAS "WHAT TRUCK IS THAT" ??

WELL, NOT REMEMBERING EXACTLY WHAT TRUCK IT WAS, MY GRANDMAW YELLED FOR GRANDPAW TO COME TELL ME WHAT IT WAS. OF COURSE IT TOOK ONLY A MILISECOND FOR HIM TO TELL ME THAT WAS A B 61 MACK. THE ONLY THING I HEARD WAS B61. THAT STUCK. AND I MEAN FOREVER STUCK IN MY MIND ALL THE WAY THROUGH MY YEARS.

SUCH A SMOOTH CAB, ROUNDED OFF NOSE AND FRONT CAP. THE SIZE OF IT EVEN NOW JUST KNOCKS ME BACK. IT MAY NOT BE THE FASTEST, THE STRONGEST, THE TOP OF THE TOP, BUT MAN , GET IT ONE AND GO DOWN THE ROAD. AFTER YOU RIDE IN ONE YOUR FEELINGS ABOUT SOME OLD BLACK SMOKE ROLLING, DIESEL SMELLING, RATTLING CHUNK OF IRON WILL CHANGE FOREVER. IF NOT, GO SHOOT YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED THE BEST AND THERE IS NOTHING LEFT , LOL

THIS IS WHY I SEARCHED FOR THE LONGEST TIME AND DIDN'T FIND ONE UNTIL I GAVE UP. MY B MODEL CAME AS A STROKE OF LUCK. PURE LUCK. DRIVING TO A CONCRETE JOB 1 MORNING 6 MONTHS AGO AND BOOM!! THERE SHE WAS. FADED RED PAINT, FROSTED AND CRACKED GLASS, PEELED GREEN INTERIOR, TWIN SCREW OUT BACK, TIED ONLY TO A GIGANTIC TRAILER BY WAY OF A BIG 5th WHEEL. MAN SHE SURE WAS PRETTY, LOL LOL

BUT , LIKE MOST THINGS, MY HAPPINESS IN THIS FIND MATTERED NOT TO ANYONE I TOLD ABOUT IT THAT DAY, AND I TOLD EVERYONE THAT WAS GOING TO BE MINE. JUST LIKE THE BABY BOOMER WHO SPOTTED HIS FIRST VETTE OR MUSTANG AND WANTED THAT CAR AT ALL COST, THIS WAS AND IS MY VETTE.

SPEND THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS ON YOUR VETTE, MUSTANG, "OLD SCHOOL" STREET ROD THAT IS NOW MADE OUT OF FIBERGLASS BECAUSE THERE ARE NO REAL ONES LEFT. BE MY GUEST. THIS THING IS STEEL AND THIS THING IS REAL.

THERE ARE PROS AND CONS TO DRIVING A BIG B , I KNOW. PARKING AT THE MINI MART BECOMES A CHALLENGE, EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN PICK YOU CAR OUT WHEN YOU WALK OUT THE DOOR. YOU NOW TAKE UP 2 OR 3 SPOTS INSTEAD OF 1 . TRAFFIC JAMS BECOME A HUNTING FIELD FOR 4 WHEELERS, EVEN THOUGH LATER OR EARLIER IN THE DAY YOU WERE DRIVING A 4 WHEELER, LOL LOL

SEEMS ODD TO ME, WHEN YOU GET BEHIND THE WHEEL, YOU TRANSFORM FROM JERRY FALLWELL TO JERRY REED ALMOST AS SOON AS THE DIESEL TURNS OVER, LOL

ALL THIS IS JUST HOW I FEEL AND SINCE I AM NEW TO THIS SITE, WHAT BETTER TIME TO LET YOU ALL IN ON IT.

I KNOW I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE THAT FEELS LIKE THIS, RIGHT ? ?

I WILL STOP RAMBLING ON, AT LEAST FOR TONIGHT LOL

GOODNIGHT TO ALL , MARCEL MEMBER 666 (BARRY , ABOUT THIS NUMBER, LOL LOL LOL )
