hey guys, another newbie on yer boards! i'm a volunteer fireman at our local department where we have a 1934? mack firetruck that our muster team runs. needless to say...it could use a little hAlp! i've volunteered to spearhead the task. i'm not new to automotive forums,i'm a VW enthusiast, so i know there is a wealth of knowledge here. <---why i signed up!

i have turned a few wrenches on a trucks as well!

Most guys here have sent them out for a rebuild, the cost is about $100, and it is hard to find the right parts to do it yourself. I used Arthur Gould in New York $109, they did it right the first time- no problems at all.

My '45 EN-330 water pump complete rebuild was about $350 in Lubbock, TX. They did something that makes the engine run cooler than I ever saw it run. After sitting at idle for 2 1/2 hours, temp was still close to 140 degrees. Had to shut down then re-started with no problems. Usually, it wouldn't re-start until completely cooled down.
