Not a bad weekend inspite of the rain. I got to pick up a couple of parts trucks. A B422S that had been converted to diesel. It should run , makes some smoke but won't quite fire. I suspect fuel rack may be stuck in pump. It has old style pump with hydraulic governor. I'm not real familiar with those but I guess I will learn. If anyone has info on these please enlighten me. The other truck is a B60T may not be much hope for the engine it seems to be quite stuck. But plenty of other good parts. As I get into these trucks I will list any parts surplus to my needs.

You Cant Fix Stupid. But You Can Numb It With A Sledgehammer. :loldude:

Well folks a quick update on this pair. The B60 looks the best but isn't. The cab and sheetmetal is poor ( I think they put the bondo on with a snow shovel) The engine is also very tight. Lots of good hard parts and small misc. The B422 has been worked very hard and then raped. Front end very worn out, broken rear springs ugly old welds ect. All small items have been removed (dash cluster, glove box, def vents, emblems. lights ect) On a positive note though after much convincing (mostly with a hammer )the 5 stuck delivery valve plungers are loose and the engine runs! :chili: So don't think I'm just in it to cut them up. I've got 5 other old Macks that need some attention. So these organ doners will live on.

The B60 doesn't have the 707 eng it's the smaller one. I pulled the plug out yesterday and a few were very ugly. They had lots of rust on them. Engine is complete though if anyone needs parts.
