The pro's for Steer-tek air ride are: improved ride quality, slightly lighter weight.

The con's are: not serviceable, not able to set camber, not able to replace king pins.

I am around both, and I can't usually tell if it is air ride or not just by driving it. I work closely with a customer who has both spring steer and air ride steer axles in fleet service, and tire wear is not as good with air ride steer, and there have been some handling (front end shimmey) complaints, seems like mostly with shorter wheelbase trucks.

Based on my experience, I would not order it on a new truck, however I would not let it keep me from buying a used truck if everything else was right.
