I feel there should be a current events test because most people under the age of 30 don't know what is going on in the world and is only voting for a candidate because they are with the party they support. We need to stop voting for candidates based on what party they are in. Instead we need to vote for the individual whose ideas we like and who stands for the issues we are concerned about. If you ask me neither Democrats or Republicans are for the American people any more. The Democrats and Republicans are infected with Progressives who don't give a damn about the American people but instead of lining their pockets with money from the lobbyist. It's about time we got those empty suits out of DC and put every day American citizens in DC who will uphold our Constitution, values, and morals of our country. Not some brain dead Liberal/Socialist who wants to ban guns because they "kill" people. Guns don't kill people it's those who are deranged and have mental problems who kill people. It's like blaming the pencil for writing, it takes someone to make the pencil write. The pencil doesn't write on it's own. That is the problem with Liberals and Liberalism they are trying to protect us from ourselves. Look at it this way. American football plays wear protective gear, they think they can play harder but end up injuring themselves. In Australia they don't wear any protective gear and they rarely get hurt. When you start protecting people you make them take bigger risks than if they were not protected at all. It's like seat belts and air bags, sure they save lives but people take unneeded risk and as a result end up hurt or dead. It's like cell phones with people texting and driving. We don't need laws banning texting and driving instead if people used common sense and realized the dangers it wouldn't be a problem but everyone is so caught up in texting they don't concentrate on driving. The cell phones don't kill people the person using it and not paying attention is what kills people. You can ban things all you want but until you focus on the root the problem, the people, things won't change at all. So making new laws regulating this and that is not the way to go. Instead that increases rebellion and people will do it even more. Remember when growing up and our mother's told us not to touch the stove. We did it anyway and as a result we got hurt and learned a lesson or maybe not. But still when you tell someone no your tempting them to do it even more.

I want to say no.

These kids are so brainwashed by their parents lifestyles and "rules" We don't keep score so nobody loses- PELOSI

No awards given to the top student as it effects my precious childs self esteem-PELOSI

No dodgeball, no games that require bodily contact. He might get sick or even worse, a bruise. REID and PELOSI

I want to say yes. Some of these youth are now laying in Arlington.

Success is only a stones throw away.................................................................for a Palestinian

I'm going to disagree also...

You say Liberals are bad, progressive is bad. I think the neo-nazi conservatives are just as bad.

Sure, let us as a society regress. The only thing making history look as good as it does is the lack of information and sheer population that we have today...it's like the bible, its all in the eyes of the story teller.

I like my cell phone and I like being able to talk and/or text on it whenever I want to.

I think birth control and contraception as a whole should be proliferated...

Who gives a rats ass about gay marriage and all that. I don't, you shouldn't either.

I could go on...but people just need to MTOFB.

You are considered an adult at the age of 18. With that being said you can be drafted for war or enter the service. So if your old enough to be sent to a battle field where you will kill and maim other humans and also risk death, your dam well old enough to vote and have your say. Nuff said

Just because you are 18 does not mean you don't have a clue. There are plenty of people who are 30+ years old that will make worse choices than an 18 year old. Just because you are older does not necessarily mean you are more wise.

What America needs is less bull and more Bulldog!

Saying that us people under 30 shouldn't vote is like saying that all people over 65 shouldn't drive!!!!!!!

Not all people under 30 have no clue what is going on, just like not all people over 65 are bad drivers.

But i will agree that there is a lot of people young and old that vote based on party not the canidate or the policy that they promote.

We do need to go and clean DC out and start over but no matter who you send there big buisness will hand money out and corrupt even the most honest man.

just the way i see it matt

I wasn't trying to say all people under 30 don't have a clue about politics. I was mainly stating a fact and you all know it's true. I feel there should be a current events test to determine your qualification to vote.

That's like saying you have to have a road test to see if you can have a truck license.

They give the license and say congratulations.

But a lot of these licensed truck drivers can't back up a trailer.

BTW does anybody know a good USA political forum? Wouldn't mind seeing some nice Mack trucks :thumb:

Corporations are made of of people....people who run the corporation, as well as people who work for the corporation.

If politicians can badmouth corporations (and in doing so, badmouth all of the PEOPLE who are affiliated with those corporations), pushing through damaging tax policies which limit the corporation's ability to remain profitable (thereby increasing the likelihood of "downsizing" or "outsourcing" positions within the corporation, where PEOPLE will be out of a job as a direct result)...why SHOULDN'T the corporation have the ability to speak out against the politicians?

It's only "fair"...and I thought fairness was the ultimate goal of the left :idunno:

Politicians talk s#it about corporations all of the time. Now, corporations can respond with ads exposing the politicians for what they are.:thumb:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

SCOTUS got this one right. :dwave:
