Does anyone have any ideas how to seal up the fuel filter canister? I bought and installed a new fuel filter on my END673 B-61 and the old cap seal and the new one seem to have a larger OD and I cannot seem to get them to seal. It keeps mushrooming over and blowing out after it is pressurized. After the 5th attempt, I am looking for ideas. Thanks.

i have a end673 and i used a fram filter and it comes with a new seal. i have not had any leaking problems with this setup. fram part #C1164PL, the original mack part # was 43SB30. maybe your top lid is warped just alittle bit.

Are you over-tightening it? Just snug would be okay. I always insert filter, then lay gasket on top of housing, then install lid while pushing down on lid to hold gasket in place as I tighten the nut. A little dash of fuel on gasket to let it slip around some without bunching up.

Just a thought?
