Does anyone know where I can find a Mack emblem for the Grill shell for a 1950 Model A-40 Mack? Will the B Model emblem fit on an A? Thanks

The B model emblem is taller, and wider. I looked for years for a replacement for my 51 A40 and finally ran across one. Is yours missing, or dented up?

I suggest you check out the flea market at the ATCA National Meet, June 18 & 19 in Macungie, PA. I would think there will be several there to choose from.

Yours' is that nice????? I'm on my way to confiscate the evidence!!

I hope that "For Sale" sign is prior to your ownership.

I'm down to eight glazed donuts per day from twelve just a few months ago. Progress is good, but I still can break that ice cream and "half & half" refreshment routine.

Yes that was before I owned her. I took that on the day I picked her up. Yes it still looks that good. Had her out last night after installing a temporary electric fuel pump. Had to go that route for now because of parades and the lack of time to wait for a rebuild kit.

My 1953 A-54 grill shell had an emblem that was larger than the B model. My original was 18.5" wide and 2" tall and the screw holes were 11" apart. The emblem I just bought from e-bay for a B-model is smaller at 15.5" wide and 2" tall with the screw holes at 7.375" apart. I plan on welding the original holes and drilling new ones for the B model emblem or the holes might be covered with the new emblem. Jeff

That should work just fine. I do know that finding an emblem for an A model is a real challenge.

Glad you have found a fitting solution.
