Was looking around on Google Earth and checked out Rob's place. I see he has his new gantry crane set up-looks like it would lift most anything. Looks great Rob!

That is pretty neat but a little late. I sold the Rabbit convertible early last fall and moved the horse trailer to the back of the property last September, or October when the grass was still green. Scrap prices were way up at that time and I needed room to stack that Pete upon a couple others.

Since ridding myself of them things, life is much better.

I don't have anything to do with any of that, this is the actual un-retouched or altered in any way google earth photo.

Rob, was that a diesel Rabbit or a gas Rabbit?

.

Hi Herb, it was gas and really clean. I think it had just about 74,000 miles. Other than having a difficult time getting out of it's own way, was a nice car. Belonged to a customer of mines mom that passed on.

If it had been a diesel turbo, I'd have bought it.

Hi rob,i have an uncle who just sold a diesel/turbo rabbit recently, he bought it new, kept it inside, really nice little car, exceptional fuel mileage,i wish i had bought that one myself. Most of the similar volkswagens i have seen for sale are junk!...mark

The convertible top musta slowed that thing down. Close friend had a '75? Rabbit for work car back in mid/late 80's. That thing ran like a raped ape and got great mileage. Always was kinda partial to that car, and wished they were still around to have one.

That gantry must be quite the set up. Sure didn't look THAT big when he was at my house with it on the trailer LOL!!

Yup, that will work quite well as I can now drop the Peterbilts from a greater distance, and will be able to triple stack of them without being overheight.

This will save me great amounts in crusher rental fees and we know these days: Every dollar saved, counts.
