I could have told this to anyone years ago when this nonsense first came out. 78% of the air we breath is Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen, 0.9% Argon and the last 0.1% is everything else. So your tire already has 78% nitrogen in it already.

I've always thought for the cost it was prohibitive in automobile use. Conventional compressed air is free in most places. Aircraft usage is a different story and it is a very useful gas in tires, struts, and cylinders used at altitude as it is very stable and dry. The pressure differential is far less from the expansion/contraction rate of pure nitrogen, rather than the typical mixture found at ground, or sea level.
