The #'s in your pis are cast into the parts, every casting will have those same #'s. what you are looking for is #'s that have been stamped in with a stamp and hammer or similar. Look where fjh suggested, ahead of the fuel pump on the top flat deck of the timing case.

Jeff.

Is this the engine model number (first pic) and serial number? Any engine details jump out?

If your engine is an inline 6 cylinder 673 c.i. fuel injected then, the engine numbers are on the front gear cover, passenger side,on top, just under the secondary fuel filter. By the looks of your clean engine, it should be no problem finding it.

The first photo is your oil cooler with it's numbers raised or embossed, which most parts are that way. The engine numbers will be etched down inside the housing, same as your frame number and rear carrier housing.

mike

Maybe the best engine ever built.

Probably where the term "Bulletproof" originated from.

Where is the engine serial for my endt 675

Top of the timing gear housing in front of the injection pump.  Check out the picture in the seventh post above dated Nov. 1.

As noted, if it came out of a COE the back of the block will be stamped just below the rear head.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

Hey lads, got a em6 285 Mack engine trying to find the engine code, found a compliance plate on the side of the block behind the injector pump, can see numbers but not words, can anything show me where abouts on the plate the engine code will be or what the number will look like? Eg how many digits
