I don't know if anyone missed me or noticed I have been absent for the past month or so... We have been fighting with the phone company to have our internet service restored. It all started at the end of Sept. with a windstorm and a downed wire out on the pole. The first battle is to convince a CUSTOMER SERVICE rep that the DSL is indeed broken. Then try to plead your case to be moved up to priority status. Next is to get a SERVICE technician to actually show up at the designated appt. time to diagnose the problem. Finally after a month we are back up and running, but I notice Polly is not quite the same after the entire ordeal... Underdog couldn't help with this one.

Yes, I had noticed your abscence but had no inclination as to why. I too despise the monopoly the phone companies, (like the oil companies) have become. I have argued successfully with the telephone company for credit in the form of a free month of service for the lost service/inconvienience suffered.

Glad to see you back.

I too had noticed, but just assumed you were shunning everyone, like Paul Van Scott. You should never assume anything they say.
