Have a 2004 CH613 that will not start. The only code in the system is 6-4 which according to the website is J-1939 link. The pro-link does not pick up any codes.

Turning the engine over (cranking) the truck shows no oil pressure on the guage. Loosened the line on the turbo infeed and had oil coming out as engine turned over.

Checking the injectors wire hookups and have no voltage as you are trying to crank the truck.

Any thoughts?

The engine has to be able to communicate on the J1939 or the J1587 datlink to run properly. If only one is operational the engine should start. The oil pressure guage is fed by the J1587 from the engine, for it to read 0 would seem to indicate that neither datalink is connected to the engine ecu. You may have a power relay that is sticking and keeping the modules from powering up correctly. I've also seen this happen when the harness rubs through near the VECU. If this is the case the instrument cluster will read "no info"

I will look over the wiring harness again. The fuse/relay panel that is located under the hood is missing the cover plate so I don't know what circuit breaker goes to what. I did clean this panel as best as I could. Does anyone have a picture that might tell me the layout of the panel?

OK I was able to spend some time looking at the truck myself today. I cleaned all of the connections in the panel box under water tank and replaced two relays that are clicking when truck is turned on or off. I also noticed that the tach is not working when trying to start. Not sure if gauges "sweep" when the ignition is turned on at first but it is not doing this either.

I checked the wires to solenoids again. Wiggled wires etc.. Still no start. I hooked up the prolink the day before yesterday and didn't get a reading. Yesterday another mechanic checked it out and said the prolink worked fine on it and there were no codes. Well... The Prolink is NOT reading the engine as an active MID. He hit the active MID on the brake system.

Is there anyway to verify I have fire to the ECM? Which connection should I unplug and check and which wires? I am back to what I told the boss man was the problem on Monday I think the ECM is shot but I would like to be 100% sure.

Here's the EPDM, #49 supplies power to the EECU. On an ASET AC engine power from the fuse should be present at connector EJ1, pins 2, 3, and 5. The EECU is grounded at EJ1, pins 4, 7, and 8 and EJ2 pin 18.

What voltage am I supposed to get off of connector EJ1, pins 2, 3, and 5? I am only getting 2.76 volts. I would think 12v. I am getting 12v at fuse on 49.

EJ1 is the top small connector, the pins mentioned should have 12 volts

No luck yet. Traced connections back to a 8 pin connector that is right below the engine power distribution module. I have 3.5 volts at 3 pins on this connector on the female side and on the male I have one connector that has 12 volts.

The 12 volts in the male end must supply the fuse at 49 because I am not getting any juice when it is disconnected at 49 and 12 volts when it is connected together.

It is getting to cold to mess with it now so I will have to look at it again tomorrow.

Had to send the truck to Mack. Told them what I had checked and they started from there. Turns out someone did some bad wiring on the back of the truck inside a added on box and it was causing the problem. Nothing to do with factory wiring.
