Hello all, I just bought a 1996 CH model Mack and when I got it home noticed that someone had hacked into the cooling fan wiring. They had a switch rigged into the cab that controls the fan, bypassing all of its automatic function. Can anyone tell me if the computer turns the fan on/off? If so wheres the relay? I only have 2 temp senders, one for the gauge, one for the computer. I believe I have 4 wires going the the fan solenoid, I'm assuming at least one is for kicking the fan on for the AC/defrost? Any help would be appreciated, can anyone steer me towards a good wiring diagram?

Thanks

I sounds as though the blower motor resistor is bad... but it could also have a blower control switch with a problem, I would suggest trying a resistor first because that is the most common problem with the symptoms that you gave.
