I am " restoring " a B 61S. I finally got the engine back in the frame, and next is the Quadruplex trans. The truck had no transmission in it when I got it. I remember hearing that it's best to leave one of the trans mounts off to get it in place. All 4 of my transmission mounts are off now. I need some advise - which mounts do I put on, and which one (s) to leave off ? Thanks. Steve

i have pulled many of them with the frame brakets on the frame. Most guys pull the trans brakets on a B to get trans out.

That is what I've always done too. Never have removed the frame brackets and with the brackets removed from the trans case, it clears easily for removal.
