Yes you can but I think the problem will be if you louse the trailer or a air line the flip style valve will not "pop out" to contain service air in the tractor?. IF you can live with that then all you should need is valves that will exhaust when you set the spring brakes. the other issue is it may not be DOT approved if you need an inspection?

Could be grandfathered in since the truck was built before the modern air brake systems were implemented.

How many different dash flipper valves were used in B models? What were they used for? I see in pics that it looks like some trucks had 1,2, or 3 flippers also saw a pic of one mounted under the dash, was this factory? The pics are not close enough to read the dial.
