i bought a overhaul kit from ag kits and the instructions say the new liners should slide 3/4 of the way down into the cyl. and then lightly tap with a board and small hammer the rest of the way. i have to push hard with both hands to even get them started. the bore on the block 5.095 and the o.d. of the liners is 5.094. is that too tight? they are clevite liners made in india. i guess i'll call ag kits and see what they say but they are going to think i'm stupid.

We always put the liners in the deep freeze before installing them.
