2 Stick 9 Speed

Recommended Posts

The guy I bought my truck from has a b model chassis and has let me take some parts and brackets off it for my b 61.It has a 2 stick 9 speed, the trans. shift plate says overdrive, dont use low in 5th gear. Its going to the scrap yard at some point but wanted to ask if anyone needed this tranny or is it worth anything...not sure if he would let it go but I could ask him if anyone would be interested...Jim

That nine over trans is a nice one to have if you are going to do a lot of in town driving. The starting and reverse gears are not as low as a triplex, quadraplex, or direct duplex, but it will certainly get the job done.

I think it is the nicest shifting transmission of the bunch for an empty, or lightly loaded truck. My B67 with 5.73 rears on 10.00X20 rubber will run right at 66mph with this trans.

Buy it or get it somehow. Just don't let it go to the scrap yard. Someone will need something when you least expect it.

Thanks for posting it!
