my em6 285 had a wear ring, i bought a complete victor reinz gasket set and the seal in it is a cr59999, it is a really tight fit with no wear ring. has any body had any experiance with this?

Yes you could and may still be able to get a seal that rides on the crank but the one with a wear ring is a set up to save the crank or if crank has a wear ridge in it the wear ring will take care of the wear on the crank.

yes, i just wanted to make sure that i wasnt messing up using that cr seal. i'd rather mess with that wear ring after the crank is grooved. it just seemed the cr seal fit really tight and would burn up even though i oiled it and the crank.

Yes that is another great time to get the Vaseline out when your doing assembly work. Right Glenn? :thumb:
