Ok out there i know someone has the answer to this question.

Can a local Mack dealer program my truck ecu V-Mac III.

I'm not wanting the original Mack program i'm looking to increase low end fuel supply.

I have discused this with a couple of mechanics who say Mack factory is the only ecu program supplier

Because of air pollution b.s. it seems they control all computer imput.

A dealer can reprogram your ECUs, but probably just with the original Mack software and datafiles. In special cases there are service files that can be enabled to help specific problems. You can buy aftermarket "power boxes" that are supposed to increase power.

"Mebbe I'm too ugly and stupid to give up!"

Mack had a good file for the electronic motors but the epa put a stop to it 5-6 years ago. pissed a lot of owners off when a dealer reflashed the ecu without asking about it first. There are black boxes that claim 30% increase but the are pricy and moat times are just fooling the computer into thinking the engine is doing something its not..they do work bit you will have to watch the gauges to make sure the engine is not to hot
