Pawel Posted June 3, 2011 Share Posted June 3, 2011 Hello!I have a question that is probably pretty obvious for anyone who closely inspected an US truck - but I haven't, so here it comes: Many US trucks have a group of three bullet-lights on the roof. Doug Maney Posted June 3, 2011 Share Posted June 3, 2011 The part you are speaking of is an air diverter to direct air along the roof and past the roof vent. The diverter assures that air will be directed into the vent when the vent is opened forward or past the vent to draw air from the cab when opened rearward. Quote Interested in Old Trucks? vision386 Posted June 3, 2011 Share Posted June 3, 2011 Pawel,here is a smaller picture that shows the orientation of the roof vent intakes on a basic R-model cab,as already stated the open end faces forward,this is for the roof-mounted fresh-air vent commonly found on older Mack models R,RW,RD,U ,etc..........hope this helps!..........Mark Quote Mack Truck literate.
