Spent a few days on the highway with my family...every modern truck I passed had what looked like a water proof electrical connector in the lower cab under the drivers door...My momma asked what it was, I told her I didnt know, but assumed it my be for a trouble light or for external add on flashers/lights?

What are they for?

Thanks

I'm guessing what you are refering to,is the external plug for the engine block heater, under the side of the cab, looks a lot like a trailer connection plug? used to keep the oil temp.up in cold weather, and makes for easier cold starts................Mark
