Hi all, Im in the process of removing My pump due to a leaks that I have to get fixed.

The pump runs great aside from the stupid leaks coming from a couple of the lines where the fittings screw in the pump.

I would like to know the proper procedure for removal and installation so that I can put the pump back in proper timing.

I have a really good mechanic that will be doing this but, Mack is really not his specialty he deals mainly with international, kenworth, peterbuilts.

The pump will go to a diesel injection sevice shop where it will be fixed and recalibrated.

So maybe someone can scan a page for me from a service book or somthing. That will be greatly appreciated.

ENGINE: is E6-350 (239GB5450P2)

PUMP: AMBAC/ AMERICAN BOSCH PUMP P/N M300 PLM450205D (26GB412B)

Hi, I would just put the engine on no. 1 T.D.C. TAke off the front valve cover and turn the motor over til both intake and exhaust valves on no. 1 cylinder are loose when timing pointer is on T.D.C. If the valves aren't loose when it is on T.D.C. then turn one whole revolution and they will be.When the pump is removed the blind spline will be at the 2 o'clock position. So when installing the pump make sure the pump coupler is also at that position for ease of assembly. After the pump is installed it must be timed with either a high pressure timing pump or by removing the delivery valve and using a low pressure pump. The timing spec will be on engine tag. Enjoy, Steve
