Starts out monday with one of the guys blowing a lift axle tire on the truck, luckily it was only a lift axle. did a little fender damage nothing major. get it back in only to find it did a little more damage than that, ripped side markerlight wiring out :pat: cant let her finish out the day like that... get it all buttoned up only to be an hour behind schedule now...... always fun

Tuesday: going great really busy, had a guy come pic up one of our trailers to go get fly ash roughly 150 miles each way. 120 miles out he calls said rear axle inner tire passenger side blew, ripped the fender off, blew the light-box away, etc. so we load up and go chase him down get there and we forgot to check the compressor for gas :pat: guess what all 20 lugs (Budd style wheels) have to come off by hand now and I get that honor..... after ALOT of sweating and cursing we get it all back together and start bringing it back. Only to meet mr.DOT wanting to know why were driving a trailer back with no fender and a light-bar on the back of it, I figured the shredded tire would've been evidence enough but not to this guy <_< so all in all this was about a $2500 bad day between needing a new tire, new fender, lightbox, wiring, the drivers pay, etc.

Today, Wednesday : Starts off great I get a piece of steel in my eye. Get that all taken care of and back to the shop to hear one of the guys has a fuel line thats rubbed through and is now leaking fuel rather quickly. Again load up the tools and head out to him, get there and find the fuel cooler (that we didn't even know was on there) had brackets that rusted away, letting the cooler lines go down and rub on the driveshaft in turn rubbing a hole in them. We see that the one line has completely been destroyed, but the other is in decent enough shape to get us back to the shop. get everything in place working again, but the driver forgot to inform us that he had 4 yards of concrete on that was hardening up from sitting stationary for 90 or so minutes...... always fun when the load starts sticking......ohhh the joys of a :rmod_mix:

I hope and pray next week is better cause if this is a sign of things to come this summer, or were in some deep shit

DOT didn't really get us for anything, after some smooth talking and pointing out the name on the side of the truck said "Towing". He only slowed us down for an hour but the driver was getting paid the whole time. And we were able to free the load after 2 gallons of retarder and a few gallons of water. Luckily today was uneventful and tomorrow there is rain in the forecast so there is little to no work.

Which was bungied to the catwalk and you could tell it was ripped off. But atleast i didnt get an inspection paper with it so it doesnt go on the csa file.

You got harassed LOCALLY? Damn. Locally is about the only place I can get away with anything...

When approaching a 4-way stop, the vehicle with the biggest tires has the right of way!

Yeah, it seems every holiday weekend i become a statistic for something stupid. At least i didnt get an inspection paper to turn into the office. It wasnt a big deal to go home n fix it, thats what i was going to do anyway. They are just trying to get some revenue these days, so the go after the easy target....the workn man!
