I have to say the Titan makes one hell of a pretty wrecker!

They frequently build and sell wreckers after a few years of service.

Is there a reason for that? Seems awfully wasteful.

Thad,i had a cousin in the wrecker business for about 50 years,he traded his trucks at 3 years, because of the excessive PTO use,the "hard on the truck" nature of the business, but he kept such nice care of his trucks (kept inside),he always had standing offers on the used ones.I know of a few he sold for more than he paid initially! The next user sometimes got another 10-20 years out of the trucks as well. My cousin always up-graded to the newest/fanciest technology available, the highest towing capacity etc. He had all Macks, with 2 exceptions, a peterbilt, and a ex-Navy heavy duty Oshkosh, both are still being used by their current owners......Mark
