It will run good but be underpowered when loaded. The crank, and cam sensors are terrible for reliability on those engines so carry spares as they are easy to change alongside the road.

The engine is very sound and durable but the electronics and wiring are problematic in Navistar products. If the DT 466 engine is rated about 240hp and above, these are the ones I'm most familiar with giving problems.

thanks rob. the guy says this one is a 215hp dt 466 engine. any comment on those?

Not really but that power rating runs longer between rebuilds than the "juiced up" versions.
