Some of the B and L models had them and there were a few Cruiseliners used by Republic Aircraft with a sliding rear window in the sleeper saection. (think it was after market though) Paul

It was definitely an option. In Australia there was a bulletin published by Mack trucks in1985/6 stating that no warranty claims regarding air conditioner performance (or lack of) on MHR models would be paid for if the vehicle was fitted with a back window. With such a big cab, and large windscreen area, the air conditioner was fighting a losing battle without a back window. If they couldve designed a bigger capacity system they would be a perfect cab. I still think they are the best cab over ever made. We had both an MHR and F model and the roof mounted air conditioner on the F model was miles ahead of the ultraliner system. Both great trucks though. Cheers, Skip
