I would like to recommend an 5 speed main box, like the ones in the R models, and then add a spicer 12000 series auxiliary trans. That way she will take all you throw at it. You would have some choices to make on the engine. The Injection pump on a low torque rise engine is set up different than that of thermodine engine. Also you would get a big double disc clutch with the 5 speed box. Just an idea.....

15 gears...no waiting!

Well thanks for all the info . Like my daddy says if i had a set of handles in a truck today i could leave the doors unlocked hardly anybody around who knows how drive a set of leevers today. lol it is a lost art today.

Thats very true, and like most other replies,i would recommend against a triplex behind a "modern" engine, they were just not built to withstand the torque of a higher horsepower, higher revving engine, and think you would be un-happy with the results, allthough i have heard of good results of a duplex/triplex behind a 237 Maxidyne, and its a relatively easy swap into a B-model,but again, just my two cents.........................Mark
